Looking for a story in which a nobleman was discovered to have messed with the arrow which killed Baldur. Story goes into flashbacks of Loki's trial for the murder.
It turns out the noble wanted Baldur 'out of the way' because they were both after the same woman.
Thor (is king?) tells Loki that he can handle it any way he wants to and Loki has to think long and hard because after all, hanging a snake to drip venom into one's face is no longer an allowable punishment.

Here's another case of a line or two in a story I'm reading triggering a memory of a liked story I haven't read in awhile and can't remember title, author, or where I've saved it. Ugh! Thor goes public as Asgardian ambassador to Midgard, with his upcoming marriage to Jane on Asgard much discussed in the press. Tony opens up the Stark Mansion in (I think) L.A., with part of it becoming the Asgardian Embassy. I think diplomatic immunity (that was my memory trigger) for Thor and/or Loki is brought up during one or more press interviews.

Hi! Im looking for a fic and can't find it. Any help is appreciated. I remember it is a multi part series. One of the parts is from the view of Darcy Lewis who is a surrogate for Steve and Tony. She gets trapped in an alternate diminsion where that Tony commited suicide and the Avengers are splintered. I remember that in the Alt!Darcy had been dating Natasha, but after Tony's suicide and Natasha's hand in it, Alt!Darcy left with Thor, Bruce, and Jane to Asgard where she eventually married Volstagg(I believe). Darcy eventually makes it back to her home universe. Any help is greatly appreciated once again.

With a cold front moving through our area - I suddenly found myself in the mood for an MCU holiday fic... in particular one I cannot recall the name of (what a surprise - I'm certain you're all shocked by that revelation *G*).... If it will gain me any sympathy points I was in the hospital for nearly a month after nearly dying of a very bad, very deep infection... and have only been home a couple of weeks (still recovering but recovering nonetheless *G*).

Anyway - the story is set after The Avengers and before any of the follow ups I believe. It IS a Tony/Steve story (I think) with the rest of the team as family/good friends. The gang is at a Winterfest/Christmas Market being held in Central Park (I think). They spend the day enjoying the atmosphere, the sights, the gifts available for sale, skating and enjoying the food and drink available. Eventually the gang all goes to a restaurant in the park and have a huge meal and have loads of fun talking and eating, etc.

Before the evening is done there is a villainous attack on the park. Ring any bells with anyone? Any pointers, help, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tony refurbishes Howard's mansion, making part of it the new Asgardian consulate, with Thor and Jane in attendance at their new residence. Hi! So this is my first post here, so please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong!

I'm looking for a fic that mainly centers around Darcy. I can't really remember a lot of it, so this might be a little vague, sorry! From what I can remember, Darcy has never known her parents, and grew up an orphan (possibly in foster care?) Jane finds out she's pregnant, I believe she is kidnapped and when she gives birth, the baby is taken away by whoever captured her. Later, Darcy, Jane and Thor find out that Darcy is their missing baby.

If I remember anything else, I'll make sure I add it on! Any recommendations are also welcome too :)

I have looked everywhere but i haven't found the fics im looking for.

The first one is about loki still being tortured by thanos. I remember thor bringing him to the tower and the guys taking him down to the med bay and him asking thor to kill him. I remember some amulet that was made bay dark energy or something. There was one scean when he was freaking out and they put him in the hulkroom and made it freezing.

The second one is tony/loki and thor/jane. The only thing i remember is the four of them on a double date and tony asking jane about their sexlife and thor and loki being uncomfortable..

Really hope someone knows what im talking about.

Happy new year, all, and let me start out with some recommendations. The first is called The Book Throwing Thing, written by AdamantSteve. The owner of a small coffee shop talks about two of his regular customers, Phil and Clint. (This is before and after the Battle of New York.) The second story is by ShippersList, called Safety Nest. A bit after the Battle of New York, a woman who owns a knitting cafe welcomes in a well-built young man who soon becomes a regular customer, falling asleep in a comfortable chair after she presses coffee and soup on him. After a bit a trio of "customers" start dropping in on separate days, seeming not pay any attention to the sleeping man: a blond man with a sketch book, a slender red-headed woman who attempts a scarf but doesn't know how to knit, and a man who looks like a professor. She also stops receiving any bills and learns that Tony Stark has bought the building. The third recommendation is a series called Callahan's Crosstown Diner written by cakeisnotpie. It's a multi POV tale, told from all the employees of the diner of their view of not only the Avengers but just about all of Marvel shows. All of these are found at Archive of Our Own. And with that out of the way -- after you read and I hope enjoyed the stories -- I hope you can recommend similar stories for me to read. Stories that I've missed of others' views and experience with the Avengers and family, Coulson and his team, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, the Defenders, Guardians, etc. Any new ones along that line that will become new favorites. I have just watched Thor: Dark World for the umpteenth time and it still bothers me that Jane Foster (a mere mortal) was allowed to attend Frigga's funeral while Loki wasn't. Neither Thor nor Odin even informed him of her death, he was told by a guard. He might have been a prisoner, but it seems to me he could have been allowed to be present, even if it was in chains. So I was wondering if there is any fic that deals with this and how Loki reacts to be totally excluded.

I've seen this touched upon here and there in various stories but always through the eyes and reactions of the ExVengers. So I wonder if anyone has written anything Civil War and post Civil War stories of the split teams as seen by outsiders. SHIELD and ex-SHIELD agents, people on the streets of the various places they've fought, or anyone who runs into the Team Cap members while they are on the run or hiding out. I've seen a couple short scenes in much longer stories where (mostly) Steve and Wanda are reconginzed while hiding in empty buildings or trying to be incognito on the street, or people caught up in battles they've started. People have run in fear or stood up to Cap's party with fear, anger, and hate when protecting children or someone who can't flee.

Something else I wondered about was any stories during or after the Civil War from the X-Men's perspective, either Xavier's people or Magneto's people. Do they help? Do they take advantage of the chaos?

So I have a scene in my head, but can't remember if it was from a long fic or a one-shot (in a collection of one-shots or by itself). Basically, Darcy is at some gala/party, and I believe she was supposed to be there mainly in a supportive role to the scientists, i.e. make sure Tony doesn't upset anyone, keep anyone from upsetting Bruce, etc.

The scene I am particularly thinking about is Darcy coming over to save Bruce from some people who were starting to upset him, and them dismissing her as unimportant/just a ditzy girl. She ends up talking science/math to Bruce, weirding out the other people and calming Bruce down. They escape from those people and Darcy make a joke about what she said, and Bruce talks to her about how she really is smart, and that she is actually a co-author or contributor to a lot of papers published by Jane, Bruce, and Tony because of all the work that she does for them. Cue her being shocked, but yea Darcy is an intelligent bamf!

98% certain this would be on AO3; no idea if there is a pairing or what it might be, and again, no idea if it was a one-shot or a scene in a long fic. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm laying in bed yesterday morning halfway between awake and asleep, trying to decide which way I wanted to go when I heard a voice in my head say, "What if Rhodey was Hydra?" That snapped my eyes open. I've looked through Archive of Our Own, usign various secondary teammembers names -- Falcon, Darcy, Pepper -- but didn't find anything much of interest. Does anyone know of any good stories where that happens? I know from some fanfic I've run across that one or more members of Coulson's "Agents of" team was Hydra but I haven't watched more than a few minutes of the series, so I'm really not familiar enough with them to be interested in another of them being Hydra. How about Maria or Sharon?

This idea popped into my head from misreading a heading on this site. I wonder if there are any stories about someone trying to cash in on their connection, no matter how vague, to any of the Avengers. Maybe someone who knew Hawkeye during his circus days selling his/her story to the press. Or a child or grandchild (or a bitter ex-spouse looking for a cash cow, maybe) of one of Bucky's siblings trying to extort money or fame from Steve over Barnes' death. Or victims of the Battle of New York taking the team, or maybe just Tony, to court. In short, someone looking for money or fame through the courts or the press, on the coattails of the Avengers team.

She lived in a fairly run down part of NYC and her apartment building (I think she owned it) had a bunch of booby-traps and monitors
She was working for Jane
She got either a call or visited by and old friend from the organisation
She had to ask for time off from Jane
She wore a wig/disguise theough the airport
She saved a bunch of people
Afterward everyone from the organisation(a lot of people) met back at an old warehouse, there was a girl that she had saved/found and I think she got offered a job because she needed one

If anyone has read this or remembers it at all please tell me that I didn't imagine it, I've been looking forever

Now that it's been a few weeks since the release of Captain America: Civil War, I'm wondering if any of y'all know about any good fics about the events of the film and its aftermath with a focus on one or more of the female MCU characters. Natasha is my fave and I think her arc in the movie was fascinating, so of course I'd especially like fics about her, but Wanda or Sharon would also be amazing. Or fics about how CACW affected a female character who didn't appear in the movie: Pepper Potts, Maria Hill, Jane Foster, and beyond.

Gen is fine, as are most ships. I ship Tony/Pepper and would love a fixit for them, but I am also willing to read fic where the breakup sticks.

Anyway, let me know if you're fond of any post-Civil War fic that's lady-centric, or team fic that gives a well-developed character arc to one or more female characters alongside the dudes.

I just read American Patrol by Copperbadge (an author I highly rec) again where someone attempted to hack Jarvis, shutting down the tower completely, but was defeated in a 30 hour cyber battle with Stark, Banner, and a team trained by Tony just for such an event . I wondered if there were any other fics where someone tried to hack Jarvis in what would be considered murder or kidnap if he was human.

In a search of AO3 for anything like the above story, I came across a synopsis where Stark is on trial for rape. Since I really could see Tony Stark raping anyone, I wondered if there were any other stories where an Avenger, or a member of the "family" was accused and put on trial for a crime that those that know them know they'd never do, even though the evidence my be strong. Something like Steve accused of rape or murder. Or Jane or Darcy for treason.

I've seen this in real life (usually with kids), and in movies. I've seen thin in other fanfic fandoms (The Sentinel and Magnificent Seven, to name two). I'm wondering if this has been done for the Avengers. It could be after a battle, on the trip back home. Or maybe after a long day and they get together to go out to dinner. The team/group gets to their destination or they're almost there, when someone thinks to do a headcount and realizes somebody is missing. One of them was lagging behind, or in the bathroom maybe, and got left behind withoug someone noticing for the longest time. What happens then? Do they rush back, embarrassed and ashamed or do they say "fuck it, we'll worry about it later, he/she didn't want to be with us anyway."

The thought came up while reading the extras for the First Impressions and Second Chances series where Tony Stark isn't wanted on the team and every friendly gesture and gift from him is met with scorn and finally violence. But the outside/forgotten person doesn't have to be Stark; it could be any one of them. (I'd love to see Darcy kick ass and take names if the group went out for a "family" dinner and forget she was in her apartment changing clothes or something and came back to the common floor to find it empty.) Or maybe the team goes to some event and the press is there as they get out of the limo and they're asked "Hey, where is (whoever) and they realize they've forgotten someone.

This is an offshoot of sorts for a search for a lost story in a different fandom that didn't work out. I got to thinking I'd like to see this story line in the Avengers. The first characters I thought of was Steve and Tony in a relationship. When Bucky comes back into Steve's life he leaves Tony in his dust. How does he react; how much does he care of is hurt? How does the team react? Did they even know they were a couple? How does it affect the team, how they work together or socialize? This story could be any couple + 1. Tony leaves Steve for Pepper. Or Bruce. Pepper leaves Tony for Phil. Any three or more from the Avengers family.

I'm just tagging the possible characters. I'll take any pairings in that circle.

I do recall one story has Steve so intent on searching for Bucky, he forget about Tony. Not breaking up with him, just mindlessly not being there for events or his birthday or their first anniversary, something like that. Anybody know which one that was?

Hi all,
This is my first time posting here and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.

So Google has finally failed me (or rather, my memory has) so I'm asking y'all for help.

I remember a couple of things, going by the assumption that they're of the same fic:

1. Loki fell to earth for some reason or another. He ended getting all buddy with Jane and Erik and Darcy. I can't remember if the fall was before or after the Avengers. I think it was before, when he fell off the Bifrost.

2. There was this myth thing that one of the mortals were reading, about how the myth-Loki killed Balder and was punished by being tied to a rock and having snake venom drip on him and Jane said something like how he deserved it for killing his brother and the Loki with them at the moment just lost it and said that the murder was actually an accident

3. The killing balder thing actually happened, except that balder was the bad guy and he was going to kill Thor so Loki had to stop him and he fashioned a spear out of mistletoe and threw it at Balder, except that he didn't want Balder to die, just to stop him

4. During this time, Heimdall was imprisoned for his own safety. The password to free him from his cell was "Thor lives", which Thor found out by going to the place where Loki was being punished and holding up a shield to, well, shield Loki from the venom while he asked Loki about Balder's death and then sent for Heimdall as proof of Loki's innocence

5. Someone else eventually got imprisoned in Asgard's dungeons again and Sif or someone had to say "Thor lives" to free them

6. (I'm not sure if this came from the same fic or not) but like, Jane wanted to watch a meteor shower and got really upset when the sky clouded over on the night of the meteor shower. So Loki took her up into the clouds to watch the meteor shower and said something about showing her how to fly properly bc Thor was always sucky at this sort of thing. And during this time in the clouds, Loki had let his shielding magic down so that Heimdall could see him and Heimdall told this to Thor (for what reason I don't know)

And that's about as much as I remember.
It was on AO3 and someone please help me find it because it's driving me crazy.

With the six Avengers and all the people around them that be counted as part of the team or support, somebody might have used this plot line for this fandom. I read this originally in an X-Files story. I do remember that it had the central four characters: Mulder, Scully, Skinner, and Krycek, but it's been several years since I read it so I don't remember who dumped who to be with who, so I'll just refer to any four as A, B, C, and D.

A and B are dating/sleeping together/living together, whichever. A is totally in love with B. C, who has been away/missing/out of the picture, suddenly shows back up. B and C used to be together and B is still in love with C. B throws A over to get back with C. A is broken hearted but leaves quietly, knowing he was second choice anyway. After a short, but intense time, D pops back in the picture. C is in love with D, only getting with B because D wasn't around. C leaves B for D, same as B did to A. After a length of time, D decides he cannot deal with C's intensity/crazyness/neediness/whatever and ends the relationship. Brokenhearted, C goes back to B, who is ready to dump A again. (Actually, I think somewhere along the line the dumped one get fed up with the whole thing and tells the returning ex to shove it.) Get the picture? I hope this isn't as confusing to you as it's becoming to me. It's basically a vicious game of musical lovers, with uncaring lovers and broken hearts all around.

Goddess, I really don't want to tag every possible pairing that can come out of this...

The first one I believe I read either on

avengerkink or

norsekink. This is what I remember of it: it's an AU and before Thor's coronation, Odin told Loki that Loki was to be advisor to Thor, basically doing all the work and getting none of the credit. Loki didn't like it one bit and took off for another realm, leaving Thor to do things himself. Then some foreign dignitaries from another realm came to Asgard and Thor screwed up pretty badly by insulting people (including a female ambassador or something that he insisted on hitting on, despite her subtle attempts to get him to back off) and generally being bad at diplomacy. I think Thor confronted Loki at some point for abandoning him or making him look bad, I'm not really sure.

The second one I think is from AO3. I think it was a long story, most likely gen or Loki/Tony (and Thor/Jane), but the bit I remember is that Jane has gone to Asgard and she has to undergo some trials to be accepted there or be given the golden apples. There are 3 tests and Jane fails one (that I think involved something typically feminine she was not very good at) and passes one (that I think involved some kind of scientific principle). The last one (I think) was some kind of unsolvable problem Odin used so she'd fail for sure, and I think Thor and other people got pissed about that. And that's pretty much all I remember about it.

I can't recall the pairing, but Darcy was acting as the gatekeeper for Jane and (I think) Bruce and possibly some other SHIELD scientists. I just remember that she had moved her desk so that she literally blocked the door to the labs, and a lot of the junior agents were afraid or at least wary of her.

Pepper, Natasha, Jane, Darcy, Betty, and Coulson are having a girls' night out

General Ross invades the tower

Steve and Bruce are experimented on

The girls and Coulson kick ass rescuing the guys

Natasha and Clint at one point had decided what animated princess everyone best resembled - Clint was Merida, Natasha was Flynn, Steve was Aurora, Tony was Mulan, Thor was Ariel, and Bruce was Fiona.

Sorry, this is going to be really vague. I can only remember a few specific scenes, not even sure about pairings. Things I remember:
- Jane visits Asgard, is horrified and disillusioned by bloody boasts, barely manages to push off Thor's amorous advances; tries to warn ppl about Asgard when she gets back, isn't believed.
- Tony and another Avenger get drunk with/butter up Thor in a conference room to distract him/get info; Tony is so upset by something he hears he throws up.
- the overall tone is darkish and anti-Asgard, probably pro-Loki. Probably on the longer side.
