Okay, so tonight is one of those nights that I'm looking for some serious Tony whump. He can be paired up with Steve or Pepper, but it's okay if there are no pairings at all. However, it seems that I have developed a certain taste for the kind of pain he goes through (guh, I don't even know anymore) and I'm looking for:

1. He gets hurt by trying to protect his team mates, like say he jumps in front of Steve just as a gun is fired at him or whatnot

2. His suit fails or he gets shot while he's flying and he plummets down to the ground.

3. His arc reactor suffers a nasty blow and malfunctions or even breaks

4. One of the avengers(preferably, ehem, Steve) is falling from a building and he catches him but doesn't have time to fire his repulsors for flight and instead uses his own body to cushion the fall (okay this one is wayyy too specific, but it would still be amazing if someone were to write something for this)

5. Oh and this one that I just thought of too-- like the scene in Iron Man 3 with the exploding mansion where Tony puts the suit on Pepper instead of himself just so she could be safe. I thought that was really sweet and I was wondering if anyone wrote a kind of insight fic on what was going through his head or just put all of that intensity into writing. Or maybe someone could make a fic where he got seriously injured because of that sacrifice. Or maybe the same scenario but with a different person (ehem, Steve?) I don't know, it would really be amazing (again) if someone were to make one. I'm terrible at writing, so.

6. He sacrifices himself for his team mates in general

7. He hides injuries, maybe?

Looking for a fic where it is discover that Tony, Phil, Clint, and Clint's brother Barney are the only survivors of an experiment where unscrupulous scientist test the super soldier serum on children. I think Tony was 10, Phil was 12, Clint was 5 and Barney was 7. Howard Stark did not know of the experiments and put a stop to them when he found out. Natasha has the red room serum and Bruce has the Hulk serum. I think it was on ArchiveofOurOwn.

I am really in the mood for some great Steve/Tony fics that explore Steve and Tony meeting for the first time (i.e the events of the movie) and them falling in love afterwards. This doesn't have to actually include events from the movie, but be set directly after it. I want it to really focus on them really feeling out their relationship, getting to know each other and the love that blossoms from it. I'm looking for first-time fics of any rating (though I do like higher ratings just because those two are seriously hot together), and I like longer fics but will accept any length as long as it's not a drabble ficlet.

So I am rewatching UP the movie and it got me thinking about a short fic I read a while ago on AO3. It was after CA:TWS and in it there was a list of things for Steve and Bucky to do that the rest of the Avengers had put together for them. On the list was UP the movie, but the list said under no circumstances are they to watch the movie without everyone else and of course they do. I don't want to spoil the fic for anyone so I won't say more, but if you guys could help me find it that would be great. It was a Steve/Bucky fic with a fairly low rating (maybe G or teen) and it was about 5,000 or 6,000 words.

Anything that has to do with the avengers as one big happy (or not happy I'm not picky) family. They can be kids or adults or adults acting like kids, doesn't matter. Just family. Thanks!

Two of my very favorite series are Family by f_romanoff_13 and love is for children by ysabetwordsmith. Now im looking for some really good family fics. The avengers having kids im fine with as long as they arent peter parker. I dont really like loki to be in them, though i once read a really good thorki kid one so i guess it doesnt matter. The avengers simply coming together as a great eam and family to each other (especially since none of them had a good one growing up) would be great as well. Or if they were all kids in an au. Ive read fury is father coulson is father orphans foster homes all of it is good. Ill also take deaged because another by f_romanoff_13 was them deaged and it was really good because they all became really close. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys I was wondering if I could get a little help. I remember reading a fic a while back I think on AO3. It was Stony. Steve owned a coffee shop and had custody of Peter. Tony comes in from time to time, usually hungover, and Steve generally doesn't like him. Eventually they move past it. I'm pretty sure it was a nonpowered AU as well. Any help would be awesome as this is driving me crazy. Thanks.

I want any good teamfic. Them coming together as a team after avengers or something, the team protective of certain members (maybe tasha cause she's younger and a girl) steve protective of the team as a whole, coulson and the team, coulson bringing the team together and attempting to fix the mass of problems these people have, the team becoming one big happy family, the team getting to know about all their terrible pasts, anything I'm not picky but I'm in the mood for something good. Ill even take cute and fluffy though i prefer hurt/comfort. Thanks in advance!

I just read the "Kidnapping is a Bad Thing, Tony" series, and LOVED the Harley-and-Tony interaction. Can anyone recommend more fic that concentrates on them having a strong relationship, Tony taking Harley under his wing, family feels, maybe some protectiveness (from either or both).

If those are sparse, some good Tony-and-Peter Parker mentor/mentee family fic would also be welcome. I'm not overly familiar with comic verse though, so anything that strictly requires cannon knowledge is out.

All ratings, warnings and slash are ok, though if het is included it shouldn't be the focus.

I'm looking for a couple things, all Tony-centric.

1. Young!Tony. I've looked at the previous posts, read AON and a few others. Now I'm looking for more lovely whumpy goodness. :) Raise differently AUs (kidnapping, red room, Loki, whatever), child abuse, team-meet-as-kids fic, deaging, anything along those lines. I wouldn't mind some gen team loving either. Superfamily with little Tony is always fun.

2. Platonic Tony and Natasha fics. I'm not interested in anything romantic, but anything with them developing a friendship, supporting each other, protectiveness, etc, all good.

3. Tony/Clint slash fic recs. It's such a tiny pairing, and I'm having trouble finding anything aside from the Dodgy Chinese and Only Different In The Details. Barring that, gen concentrating on their friendship would be good as well.

No restrictions on warnings or ratings, though if the fic has het it shouldn't be the focus.

Hi all,
I'm looking for a specific fic I read a while back on AO3 where Bucky was over at Avengers Tower, temporarily released from SHIELD into Phil's custody I think, and there was a barbeque or something. Somebody noticed that Bucky's metal arm was bleeding, and when they removed it, his real arm was slowly starting to regenerate/regrow underneath the metal. Help?
Any fics where Bucky's arm regenarates, or where Bucky chooses not to wear the metal one, or that generally deal with the fact Bucky is actually a disabled veteran, would also be great : )
On another note, I'm also desperately searching for any fics where Bucky becomes part of the Avengers Team, that detail/show him being accepted into the team-fics where the Team-ie, not just Steve-defend Bucky/rescue Bucky/fight for Bucky would be great : )

hey everyone!

i'm looking for one specific fic and one general rec, but along the same lines.

i don't remember much about the specific fic but it basically had this one line where tony was trying to explain to steve that ronald reagan, who'd apparently been an actor, had gone on to become president of the united states. and steve's said (i'm pretty sure this was it, word for word), "everytime you lie, a kitten dies" and it was hilarious because he couldn't believe why that had happened. i don't remember much else but this is driving me crazy.

along the same lines i'm looking for general recs in which either the central theme, or one of the themes, is teaching steve about the future. i'd prefer fics in which steve is a trooper, preferably not a 'relic' at all. confused, yes, but perfectly willing to keep calm and carry on, where he just rolls with the punches. anything would be good, though, and i'm pretty much fine with any slash pairing or gen.

Hi, some time ago I found this fantastic drawing of all the avengers deaged, except Clint and Natasha that acted as their father and mother. I was thinking if maybe there is some fic inspired in this picture? Or this picture was inspired by a previous fic? I tried to find one, but I have been unable. So I will be very grateful if someone could suggest a fic with Clint and Tasha as fathers of one or more avengers. If they are protective and caring the better. Hello! I'm looking for a fic I read on ff.net a while ago, but haven't been able to find again. As far as I remember is had only two chapters, but it may have been updated since then. I think it may have been one of those 'five times' fics, or something similar. The overlying theme seemed to be the team protecting their own when they were seriously injured. The first chapter was Clint, and I believe he was injured fighting a wolf or something similar. The second chapter was Steve. They were fighting bilgesnipe (I think that's what it was) in a shopping mall and Steve got seriously hurt. If anyone has any idea of what this fic could be, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm looking for fics which have Tony Stark interacting with Peter Parker. I don't care if there's the whole cast of the Avengers involved, I don't mind. As long as it's some sort of interaction between them, whether it's the focus of the fic or the background to it. I want them to nerd out together, and to get along, because I get the feeling that they'll be pretty snarky.

I wouldn't say no to slash between them, but. Well. xP I don't know how likely I'll be to find it.

I'll take whatever you've got. Tony's always been my absolute favourite, from everyone, and I have a developing soft spot for Peter Parker. As long as it's not that one universe where Tony was for the SHRA and everyone hated him. Those fics make me sad, and I'm not looking for that at the moment.

Hey y'all! Okay, so I know I am going to spectacularly fail at this; I am new to this community and this is my first post, so please be nice to me!! :)

Okay, well I hope you guys can help me: I'm looking for fics which are mostly Tony-centric, with him being majorly underestimated... Like, he is secretly kick-ass, but people don't know/realize because they can't get past arragant exteria...
I would also like Tony with powers, or awesome abilities of some sort... maybe Extremis!Tony, Mutant!Tony, Assassin!Tony, Hacker!Tony, Doctor!Tony... Basically anything like that!! I have to say I do like angst, but I don't mind either way.
I know this all sounds super vague, but it would be awesome if any of you guys could help me out!

I'll be moving upstate in a few days and would really appreciate some fic recs to dump on my ereader! I'm looking primarily for stories that are epic in length, 50k words at least. Most of my reading so far has been in the Thor/Loki part of the fandom, but I'm branching out to Loki/Tony a bit as well. Completed fics are preferred, but active WIP are very welcome as well!

I tend towards slash fics, but am open towards het pairings or OT3+ pairings as well. Slow buildup for romance is great, although fics that deal with already established relationships are also good. Lots of drama! High tension! But also some comedy or fluff to balance it out. (Pretty much anything by scifigirl47 for example. XD ) I like fics that can hit a range of tone but still come together coherently.

I am an absolute stupid sucker for the following: jotun!Loki, competant!Thor, Tony being a smartass, Clint living in vents, Pepper being awesome, Avengers family feels, Tony's robots, space pirates (I blame Bend Around the Wind for that), Norse mythology ala Asgard, mythology remixes, putting the "universe" in MCU, exploring Jotenheim, exploring Jotuns, intersex!Jotuns, Loki getting 'redeemed' but still being a snarky little morally gray bastard, arranged marriage, the Avengers going from a team to a family, Natasha keeping her cool while everyone else loses their shit, etc.

Death!fics and heavy angst fics I have to take on a case by case basis. I can get immense satisfaction out of fics that put me through the emotional wringer, but don't enjoy stuff that makes me feel like I'm getting punished for reading it.

tl;dr : Moving, need long fics, so what's your favorite pairing/trope and what would you call its must read epics?

hello everyone!

(yes, it's me again, I'm sorry, I'm addicted to this fandom and so lost) Also I've had a shite day and I'm looking for friendship and gen fics. I know, I know, it's weird. But I'm craving two types of gen fics.

1) Tony and Bruce. I was science-bros at their best. I want Bruce to be as nuts as Tony, when it comes to science. Because he's all zen and everything about the Hulk, but underneath it all he's a scientists, and scientists are just great big kids who get excited about cool stuff - and I want fics in which these two feed off each others' insanity. No genius doctor got where he was by keeping regular hours and consuming healthy amounts of coffee, so things where Bruce ends up in Tony's lab rambling science, high on caffeine and people are wondering how they thought Bruce would be a good influence. I don't particularly care about the pairing, but I'm looking for Tony & Bruce friendship, this time. Or pre-slash. But mostly friendship. and Science-bros-i-ness. Yeah.

2) Darcy. Darcy is a goddess, imho. and I think she would get along fantastically with Tony. So. I'm looking for fics in which these two get along like a house on fire, but don't have sex. I don't understand it either, but yeah. so. Completely gen, but I'm imagining there will be filthy flirting and absolutely obscene innuendos to make even Clint blush. Bonding over music and ranting about politicians and whatever. Just. Bros. Only Tony and Darcy. Again, I don't care about the pairing, but I'm looking for them getting along. And I'll admit, I'm looking forward to the flirting. More than I can coherently express. Just. Pointless banter and flirting, without intent. And everyone's not sure whether to be 'ew' or to just let them be. I also think these two would be monsterous trolls. Do you see it? I do. So.

I'm on my knees, begging for fics like these! I need to be reminded that people can have friends who don't stab each other in the back.

I read a story (probably on AO3, maybe on the kink meme) where Tony was the single father of Peter Parker, and now dumb me can't find it. All I really remember clearly was Steve (still with a bunch of misconceptions about Tony) meeting Peter in either a hospital or on the Hellicarrier, and being shocked that this nice kid is Tony's son.

And, along those lines, I've become warily fascinated by thing thing called "superfamily", but a few I've read are threatening to turn me off. Can someone rec me good superfamily fics?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for fics which detail the absolute f*cking disaster NYC must have been, after the movie. Injured civillians, injured agents, soldiers, devastated infrastructure, devastated everything. Most fics mention it, but shoot straight past it. I don't think it would have been that easy.

Give me something that shows just how shocking the destruction would have been. Something that details the loss of life, and the overflowing hospitals, and the overworked doctors, and somehow there's nothing much the avengers can do. Maybe tony can help with tech, or donate money or space, but nothing hands on, and nothing anyone else can do. Something that details the rebuilding of life for the common person, you know?

I don't care what pairing but I'm good with anything, I'm good with gen.

I'm always amazed at this comm and how you respond perfectly! So I've come to you looking for something else.

I'm looking for a different sort of reveal fic. Not the inter-avengers reveal, because I think that one's pretty much taken for granted anyway. I'm talking about outside the Avengers. And not just the general public. Like, families.

I read this epic series in which Darcy Lewis has a family and none of them know what she does, until they do, and it is EPIC. (Basic Bitches by twistedingenue).

I'm looking for things like that. Where people who still have links to the outside world (of sanity), like Phil, or Darcy, or Jane, or even Hill, have reveals to their family that actually, they work with SHIELD and their basassery is shown and stuff. I don't even care if it's OC or what. I'm happy with any pairing, any rating, any central character. All is good.

I hope there's something out there!

I don't think there's been a search like this before, so here goes.

I'm looking for fics in which Loki is a fantastic parent (mother or father I don't care) to his children. Or children in general. But preferably his children. I'm fine with slash, or gen, and would prefer to avoid but Thorki but I'll take what I can get.

Just basically somethin which shows that Loki can, and will go to the ends of the Earth, to hell and back for his chidren. I'm not looking for sap (but it's fine if it's there) but something where he seriously protects his babies to the best of his abilities, and loves them like he was never loved by his own father.

And preferably something where the Avengers see this, and Thor admits that it had always been cruel to take Loki's children away from him because he had loved them so much.

Anything with parent!loki, please!?
