Hey so I’m looking for one specific fic and one general
So first the specific:
I’m not sure if this is a Darcy/Bucky fic or a reader/Bucky fic but all I remember is that Bucky Clint Steve and possibly Sam are hiding from tony because he keeps trying to poke at bucky’s arm and just being generally annoying so Steve Bucky and maybe Sam are meeting Clint at a coffee shop type place only when they get there everyone is either knitting or crocheting and when they walk in Darcy/reader is working behind the counter and their coworker is talking about how they aren’t the normal type of customers not because their men but because they’re built like really built Steve and the others agree that this was a weird meeting place and when one of them tells this to Clint he says that is why stark won’t think to look here and Sam I think calls him out on the fact that he is knitting socks and Bucky ends up taking up crocheting trying to get closer to Darcy/reader when Clint tells him that she teaches some of the classes he doesn’t tell him that she teaches the knitting classes so Bucky is in the wrong class but ends up enjoying it eventually he ends up getting a chance to talk to Darcy/reader when she is working behind the counter serving drinks so he waits in line to order and Darcy/reader says either how can I help you or what can I do for you today but when Bucky gets up front she accidentally says how can I do you today and then turns red and runs out the employee back door to hide I think it was a soulmate fic because I think her coworker let Bucky behind the counter to get to the door saying something like we aren’t supposed to do this but I think this qualifies as a special case or something like that and Darcy/reader thinks it’s her coworker and says that she will be back in in a minute and Bucky says something sassy and boom soulmate and then they go to dinner or something i don’t know if this is even one fic or two different ones but it is driving me crazy trying to find it

Second: i really need more fics where someone calls dr. Banner fluff or adorable preferably Darcy but others work to as long as there is no angst or like really little angst more how is this my life angst then help we’re all going to die angst because it is a superhero fic and I understand that most superheroes kinda survive on angst and it’s really hard to avoid even when it’s a story about Captain America saving fluff kittens but back to the point lots of fluff and a fluffy Bruce any pairing is fine except Loki/Clint or Loki/tony not because I have anything against them but because i personality prefer that if Clint or Tony hook up with a guy it would be Phil and Steve respectively and if Loki is in a fic with Darcy that is not about angst I personality believe that there will be an epic bromance and everyone else will be horrified (because as Darcy would say they are too awesome for anything less than chaos)

So I finally got 'round to watching Civil War and it gave me a LOT of Tony/Rhodey feels... so I'm looking for

- 5+1 type fics where 5 times Rhodey takes care of Tony n one time Tony care of Rhodey
- Tony n Rhodey as parents
And last but not least
- Tony being really possessive of Rhodey (Give me back my Rhodey)

I'd prefer bottom/sub!Tony but it's fine either way.

Hey y'all. I am really looking for some good fics where you get to see Tony really being a genius. I would love it if those could also include the team being amazed by something Tony is doing or thinking or creating. Could be something like Tony being a polyglot and surprising Natasha by speaking Russian or something, or him solving complex problems in a few seconds, or building something amazing, the team seeing him working in the lab for the first time etc. I remember a fic where Tony meets Charles from the X-Men for the first time and Charles is unable to read his mind because he is thinking about too many things at once and thinking so fast that that cannot get a grip on his thoughts. Anything like this I would really appreciate!
I'm not picky at all over pairings or other tags, so go wild. THANK YOU!!!!!

I am not sure about the pairing, or whether it was gen or a pairing at all. Clint moved into Avengers' Tower, but didn't actually mention to anyone that he had moved in. (He might have been living in the vents - though I have looked through the ceiling vent clint barton tag on Ao3, and not found it.) He was watching Tony, and leaving food for him to eat - because Tony was working too hard/not eating enough, I guess - and Pepper was shocked/appalled that Tony was just eating this food that had just appeared out of nowhere.

Driving me a bit mad, not being able to find this one again, and I would really appreciate any help! <3

Hi all.

I recently read a fic and forgot to bookmark - would appreciate if you all could help me out. I've checked the Tony overwork tag but it's not one of the ones listed. The specific story I'm looking for was most likely on AO3. It's a Tony-centric fic, where Tony is very overworked/exhausted. And in the middle of a battle he pretty much just purposefully plows into the ground. When he wakes up in the hospital, Pepper is there and explains that based on what Jarvis told them they believe he attempted to kill himself. Tony eventually tells (I think Steve?) someone that he just wanted everything to stop.

Hope that helps a little - I think it's a more recent fic? Burning Candles is similar but not the one I'm looking for.

1) a specific fic: (not sure if this is part of a larger fic, or if it was a one-shot) but basically Tony invented something while sleeping, and when he woke up he didn't realize what it was, Steve walks in on him looking at it, and is horrified that Tony wants to fiddle with it without knowing what it can do.

Hello, I'm looking for multiple things:

1. Any fics that focus on Tony struggling or dealing with PTSD and/or panic attacks, specifically during or after the events of Iron Man 3 (IM3). It can be Gen, Pepper/Tony, or Steve/Tony. I'd prefer if the focus remained on the PTSD and not on any romantic relationship. I also enjoy friendship between Tony and any of the Avengers.

2. Any fics that are Tony-centric that focus on any of the following mental health issues: depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, self-harm, and/or suicidal thoughts.

Hello, I recently read, Only Different in the Details by LadyShadowphyre. It was great and Tony was a doctor. I was wondering if there were anymore stories out there feturing Doctor Tony or just Tony impressing the team with all his work that they might not have thought he did or they underestimate him.

Also maybe adding in over worked Tony too.

Hi, I was hoping to get recommendations for three different types of fics.

1. I recently reread Kerravon's Burning Candles . Are there any other fics where Steve or the other Avengers discover just how overworked Tony is and take steps to fix the situation?

2. Any fics like Does Joss Whedon Write Your Dialogue? where everyone gives Tony the shovel talk and he freaks out thinking that if everyone is so sure he'll end up ruining the relationship then they must be right and he decides to end it? And then his lover rips everyone a new one when he finds out? Basically insecure Tony letting everyone's doubts get to him. I'd prefer Tony/Steve or Tony/Bucky but will read most other pairings except for Tony/Loki.

3. And finally, any fics where Thor didn't realize how short humans lifespans are? I've seen this touched on briefly in a few fics, such as we are not history yet; we are happening now and I was wondering if there are any others out there, especially ones that go into more detail on Thor's reaction.

I remember a fic I read where Tony would drink only from certain bottles I think. Everyone thought he was still drinking alcohol but had been sober the whole time.

2) I remember that there was a fic that Pepper caught on to the fact that the avengers weren't being nice to Tony so she forced them to pay rent.

I was wondering if anyone can remember a fic on ao3 (I'm pretty sure it was on ao3) where tony goes on an inventing binge and upgrades heaps of roombas so that the have AI's in them and Clint was naming them. I think that the avengers were versing a villain that was made of rubbish or dust so tony releases them along with their flying abilities. The roombas devour the villain and everyone is horrified/traumatised but in a vaguely crackish way. I think that there may have been a ploy in there somewhere as well.

I also wanted to know if someone could rec me the following: ( I realise that the first few are very similar but oh well...)

1.tony thinking that he doesn't deserve to be on the team.
2.tony thinking that no one on the team likes him and they only tolerate him.
3.tony thinking that he's only a consultant and working really hard to please everyone so that he can stay on the team.

I'm searching for a Tony/Loki fanfic which I read maybe one year ago, probably on fanfiction.net or AO3. Definitely not on LJ.

Tony meets an incognito Loki during a business conference. Loki has a small business, which is growing bigger and later makes a deal with Stark's company. Anyway during the conference they become friends and in a special meeting Loki plays around with a cherry to distract himself and Tony, much to the embarrassment of the guy holding the presentation.
In the end of the conference Tony kisses Loki and then runs away...

But this is only the beginning of their relationship.

Thor, Asgard and the rest all exists. Loki just decided to become human and is undercover.

That's pretty much all that I can remember. Any one who remembers it? I would be very thankful.

Hey Everyone! I'm looking for two fics (and associated recs) today, and I'm losing my mind trying to find them! I hope you can help!

1) The first fic is one where Steve and Tony are together, and they have a child. I can't remember whether it was mpreg or whether the kid was adopted, or whether it was Peter Parker. I think the kid was quite young. And somehow, Howard Stark comes into the future, or is reanimated or whatever. He's basically a dick, but only to Tony. The thing that stands out the most is the homophobia though, I remember him telling Tony something like "You're not good enough for Steve" or something. And I remember a scene in which Howard is yelling at Tony and the kid, and Tony yells back because no one offends his child. And then Steve walks in and thinks Tony's misbehaving and tells him off, in front of everyone, as if he's the one to blame. I remember the kid (maybe?) asking Tony if daddy didn't love them anymore. I'm pretty sure it was resolved in the end. Anyone know which fic I'm on about?
--> In related requests, any recs for fics where the team/steve find out about just exactly how massive a bag of dicks Howard Stark was. I don't mind if there's time travelling, or if it's just videos or what, as long as Tony's validated. Naturally, I'd like if Tony wasn't a woobie, but sometimes I guess it's unavoidable.

2) The second fic is much darker than the first. The fic revolved around a kidnapping. In the sense that Tony'd been nabbed by someone and he fought his way out of it because he didn't expect anyone would care. The team noticed he was missing but when they asked him where he'd been, he brushed it off as having been on holiday or something. Maybe Steve scolded him for it? They found out that he'd been kidnapped in the end though, and that he was medicating himself and taking care of his own injuries and everyone was horrified. I remember that later in the fic it came out that Tony had some serious illness which had required him to recuperate somewhere out of New York, and that while he'd been healing, he'd built and designed Jarvis. There was also some sort of code-word between Tony, Happy and Jarvis, where they used it to point out something important, in front of the rest of the team. I remember that Jarvis mentioned he didn't trust Rhodey, even though Tony had forgiven him, because he'd never forget the suit stealing incident. I remember it being heart-breaking, and very well written. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about!
--> Are there any fics in which Tony is more cautious, and more serious than he's portrayed in fandom? Like fics where everyone who spends any time with him can tell that his TV personna is a personality only, and that he doesn't talk when he doesn't need to, and doesn't spend any time with the people he doesn't need to see, and that he's actually just working all the time. Any fic in which people genuinely respect Tony, and I'm not just talking about the Team. Like other people. His board, his business partners, people who work for him, because he's a good boss. They work hard and he takes care of them. Am I making sense?

Can someone please help me find this fic where Tonywxakes up feeling crappy and to sure why. He goes to the kitchen where the rest of the team is and they all ask if he is okay. A reminder pops on his tablet and then he remembers he was suppose to fix the AR. The tea finds out that he haven't been keeping up with repairing the AR or making sure there is a spare in case he needsa new one right away. The team chaste him and the give him some comfort.

1) Okay, so it's 100% canon in the comics that Tony is an alcoholic, but the movies haven't really directly addressed it yet (here's to hoping they will!). I would love to read any/all fics that deal with either Tony's alcoholism or any other form of substance addiction.

2) Any/all fics that are post-Iron Man 3. Especially dealing with the angst and the epilogue.

And the question: Where should I look to find an Avengers beta?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for fics which detail the absolute f*cking disaster NYC must have been, after the movie. Injured civillians, injured agents, soldiers, devastated infrastructure, devastated everything. Most fics mention it, but shoot straight past it. I don't think it would have been that easy.

Give me something that shows just how shocking the destruction would have been. Something that details the loss of life, and the overflowing hospitals, and the overworked doctors, and somehow there's nothing much the avengers can do. Maybe tony can help with tech, or donate money or space, but nothing hands on, and nothing anyone else can do. Something that details the rebuilding of life for the common person, you know?

I don't care what pairing but I'm good with anything, I'm good with gen.

I'm looking for any fics where the Team figures out the true purpose of the Arc Reactor/how it was put in/how it keeps Tony alive, etc. Like, the team all thought it was little more than a glorified powersource, and they didn't realize it keeps Tony alive. Cue Tony feels/team bonding : )
Also, any fics where the Team sees through Tony's mask/realizes how broken Tony is/how amazing Tony is, etc, would be great.

Hiya everyone!

Today I'm looking for fics involving a very focused Tony. Objectively, we know the man is a genus. He's not just the owner of his father's company, but is the one who actually did something with it. He's probably very focused, and determined, especially when it comes to science and engineering.

So these would be fics in which people find it's actually very hard to get his attention when he's working on something, because of how into it he gets. Possibly also see the fruits of his labour, so it doesn't look like the things he gives the avengers are just toys designed by his faceless minions.

I'd also like it Tony manages to wow people with an actual display of his intelligence. Dropping into technical lingo unintentionally, keeping up with other scientists, maintaining a complete conversation with Bruce Banner in a language which only sounds like English but isn’t – that kind of thing.

Give me an intellectual hard on, essentially. I have a massive thing for smart talk, and people being highly intelligent, and unconsciously so, so it doesn’t feel like showing off. Like he loves science first and foremost.

I’m good with Bruce/Tony and Tony/Steve, but for the purposes of this search I think the former is more relevant.

Am I making sense? I hope so!

I'm in the mood for all your favorite stories where Tony is being restrained/confined/kidnapped by his friends. I'm not picky who - Pepper, Jarvis, the Hulk, Steve, several of them - it's all good. Only I don't want them to do this in order to hurt Tony, but because they love him and believe that it's in his best interest. He's overworked, there is something dangerous after Tony, they decide that being Iron Man is really too dangerous and this is the only way to stop him, he wanted to sacrifice himself for... something and they won't let him. Tony can bamf! his way out or not, or maybe be convinced that his overprotective 'savior' might have had a point (or not). It can be creepy and angsty or cracky and full of fluff.

Really, anything like that will be good. =)

Hoping someone knows this fic I'm searching for.

Posted on AO3.

Starts off with Tony being woken up by JARVIS because he has a meeting with Fury. However, Tony feels...off/sick/wrong.

He goes into the kitchen to get some coffee in hopes that caffeine withdrawal is the problem (It's not.). When he arrives, he notices how the team has become so comfortable with one another since moving into the Tower.

Tony picks up an iPad/tablet where an alert tells him why he's feeling like complete crap. He needs to replace the arc reactor. Without even thinking about it, he pulls it out to examine it. The team is shocked into silence. Tony realizes what he's down afterwards.

Turns out, something has been wearing the reactor down enough to cause Tony's symptoms. He's been so busy that he's been putting off repairs.

Team scrambles to help Tony since Bruce (?) says that without the reactor, Tony could go into cardiac arrest.

Other clues possible clues, or I'm just getting stories confused:
-might be something about Natasha wearing a My Little Pony t-shirt and not shaving her legs, but still looking deadly?
-Clint taking Tony's mug, Bruce offering his instead (green-SMASH written on it)?
-Bruce cooking and changing Tony's coffee to something less bitter?
-Steve reading a newspaper (one of the only non-technical things Tony has---something about being almost completely paperless?)?

This is driving me nuts because it's on the tip of my tongue!!

I'm craving stories that highlight how much work Tony does for his company, the Avengers and SHIELD. Because obviously when Tony gets in the mood he forgets everything but creating. I'd love stories where people don't realize/understand how much work Tony puts into their equipment, or where Tony has been working for days and he has to be removed from his shop to get some sleep, or concentrates on the fact that he really has three jobs to do. Avengers, his Company and making stuff for SHIELD.

Here is a great example of what I'm looking for: running to keep in the same place

Anything along those lines, or ones that vaguely fit, or anything else that you think would work for this craving of mine would be appreciated!
