Hey so I’m looking for one specific fic and one general
So first the specific:
I’m not sure if this is a Darcy/Bucky fic or a reader/Bucky fic but all I remember is that Bucky Clint Steve and possibly Sam are hiding from tony because he keeps trying to poke at bucky’s arm and just being generally annoying so Steve Bucky and maybe Sam are meeting Clint at a coffee shop type place only when they get there everyone is either knitting or crocheting and when they walk in Darcy/reader is working behind the counter and their coworker is talking about how they aren’t the normal type of customers not because their men but because they’re built like really built Steve and the others agree that this was a weird meeting place and when one of them tells this to Clint he says that is why stark won’t think to look here and Sam I think calls him out on the fact that he is knitting socks and Bucky ends up taking up crocheting trying to get closer to Darcy/reader when Clint tells him that she teaches some of the classes he doesn’t tell him that she teaches the knitting classes so Bucky is in the wrong class but ends up enjoying it eventually he ends up getting a chance to talk to Darcy/reader when she is working behind the counter serving drinks so he waits in line to order and Darcy/reader says either how can I help you or what can I do for you today but when Bucky gets up front she accidentally says how can I do you today and then turns red and runs out the employee back door to hide I think it was a soulmate fic because I think her coworker let Bucky behind the counter to get to the door saying something like we aren’t supposed to do this but I think this qualifies as a special case or something like that and Darcy/reader thinks it’s her coworker and says that she will be back in in a minute and Bucky says something sassy and boom soulmate and then they go to dinner or something i don’t know if this is even one fic or two different ones but it is driving me crazy trying to find it

Second: i really need more fics where someone calls dr. Banner fluff or adorable preferably Darcy but others work to as long as there is no angst or like really little angst more how is this my life angst then help we’re all going to die angst because it is a superhero fic and I understand that most superheroes kinda survive on angst and it’s really hard to avoid even when it’s a story about Captain America saving fluff kittens but back to the point lots of fluff and a fluffy Bruce any pairing is fine except Loki/Clint or Loki/tony not because I have anything against them but because i personality prefer that if Clint or Tony hook up with a guy it would be Phil and Steve respectively and if Loki is in a fic with Darcy that is not about angst I personality believe that there will be an epic bromance and everyone else will be horrified (because as Darcy would say they are too awesome for anything less than chaos)

Hi hi!

I'm looking for a specific fic I read a while ago. It's Tony/Steve and they can't stand each other but I think Fury or someone forces them to become pretend boyfriends for press or something. And I think it alternates POV maybe? Because part of it is definitely from Steve's POV when they're being interviewed about being a couple and he starts to think about how nice Tony's eyes are when he's talking about being in love with him. Lots of pining follows. I've been looking for it forever and I can't remember the title lol. Any help is appreciated!

I want to reread a specific fic, Loki/OMC, but can't seem to find it. All I remember is that the OMC was your stereotypical "redneck", right down to having the name ~~Billy Bob~~ Jim Bob (or something very similar). But he defied stereotypes by being gay (or bi) and falling in love with Loki, and treating him well; Loki, for his part, surprised everyone by falling in love with this uncouth "peasant". The relationship was surprisingly functional and written quite adorably.

I actually think this exact fic was requested by someone else and found here relatively recently, but I can't seem to find that entry. Maybe it was recced or requested in some other comm?

I have four or five stories where Steve's attempt to get his old Bucky by his side after his stint as the Winter Soldier ends up breaking up he and Tony. There's still one such story I'm looking to read again. Steve is trying to get his best friend and his boy friend to be friends, but whenever he invites Tony to join the two of them on an outing, such as a ball game or lunch, Tony refuses. Steve is upset that Tony seems hostile to Bucky and lets him know it, but he doesn't see that Tony is only responding to Bucky's seeming hatred of him.

So, there are a lot of stories out there where Tony and Steve start dating, and then Tony's a jerk and they break up, angst, and eventually get back together after he gets his shit together. I want the opposite.

Any stories where they are dating and it's Steve who's the jerk and they break up and Steve has to win Tony back after a lot of hardship.

Thought it was on AO3, but haven't been able to find it there on FF. Loki and Tony crash land and both are very badly hurt. They are taken in my the local, very bureaucratic gov't, who heal them and "fix" their irregularities, aka make them both full Jotun. They have virtually no memories from before, and end up settling into their new lives on the planet running an ice berry farm in the frozen areas of the planet. Become quite wealthy because the berries are a delicacy and nobody else is crazy enough to live in the conditions required for them to grow. I remember there being kids. Thor eventually finds them and memories start returning, possibly not in that order.

Anybody? Help!? Many, MANY of thanks in advance, I've been searching a couple days now.

I am looking for a fic I read (or fics like it), because I forgot to bookmark it.

All I remember is that Steve and Tony are dating, but they are also dating Bucky? Or Clint? Or someone else. Can't really remember. But no one on the team knows this. So when someone walks in on two of them together, the person that walks in assume one of them is cheating. I don't remember if it was Steve or Tony that were accused of cheating, or if I am mixing some fics here.

But either way, I would be really happy with any fic like that.

Where Tony is in a threesome, and the rest of the avengers have no clue, or it can be Pepper that doesn't know. And one of the threesome is accused of cheating. Or Tony is told to leave Steve and Bucky alone.

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a Steve/Tony fic I read on AO3. Here's what I remember: Bucky pretty much hates Tony and Tony&Steve's relationship starts to fall apart because of that. I think Tony might have been jealous of Bucky?

There's this one scene where, in the middle of a battle, Tony saves Bucky from an explosion and they end up in a collapsing building together. Knowing that there isn't enough time to get them both out of there, Tony chooses to use the last of the power in his suit to propel Bucky out of the building. Tony says something like "take care of him" and saves Bucky. The last thing Tony sees before the building collapses is Bucky's horrified face.

Hello all. I am looking for a stony fic that i read about a year ago in AO3 but can't seem to remember it's title. I only remenber it was a movie verse. Also tony had invited the Avengers to stay at the tower. The scene i remember is of Tony buying Steve a mattress and they were testing it at the store by lying on it and they had a moment when they looked into each other's eyes; i think it was either multi-chaptered or a long length fic.

I recently (re-)read Issues by so_shhy, a Steve/Tony fic in which Bucky Barnes is a) 100% straight and b) 100% convinced that Tony is not good enough for Steve, and not afraid to say so. Ordinarily I'm all about the Steve/Bucky, but right now I'd like to read some more fic where they aren't especially attracted to each other, but get excessively involved in each other's private lives anyway.

Some suggestions that would fit the theme I'm looking for:
-Something like Issues, maybe involving one of them giving the "shovel talk" to the other's partner
-Matchmaking, if they put a really ridiculous amount of effort into it
-Everyone else assuming they must be dating because of the way they act
-Getting married for solely pragmatic reasons (e.g. hospital visitation rights--I read and enjoyed a fic like that once, but I can't remember the name now)

It's actually fine if they get together at the end, but I do not want any pining, thank you. (I have read too much pining lately.) Most of the fic has to feature them as friends content with their current situation.

Fics where they're in a romantic but nonsexual relationship (say, because one is ace) are not *exactly* what I'm looking for... but hey, if you know a good one, go ahead and rec it. Can always use more of those anyway.

I've seen this in real life (usually with kids), and in movies. I've seen thin in other fanfic fandoms (The Sentinel and Magnificent Seven, to name two). I'm wondering if this has been done for the Avengers. It could be after a battle, on the trip back home. Or maybe after a long day and they get together to go out to dinner. The team/group gets to their destination or they're almost there, when someone thinks to do a headcount and realizes somebody is missing. One of them was lagging behind, or in the bathroom maybe, and got left behind withoug someone noticing for the longest time. What happens then? Do they rush back, embarrassed and ashamed or do they say "fuck it, we'll worry about it later, he/she didn't want to be with us anyway."

The thought came up while reading the extras for the First Impressions and Second Chances series where Tony Stark isn't wanted on the team and every friendly gesture and gift from him is met with scorn and finally violence. But the outside/forgotten person doesn't have to be Stark; it could be any one of them. (I'd love to see Darcy kick ass and take names if the group went out for a "family" dinner and forget she was in her apartment changing clothes or something and came back to the common floor to find it empty.) Or maybe the team goes to some event and the press is there as they get out of the limo and they're asked "Hey, where is (whoever) and they realize they've forgotten someone.

Okay so I am possibly conflating two fic into one, but I feel like it was a single one. I would very much appreciate any help finding it (or them if that turns out to be the case.) I know that I read it on AO3, but of course that doesn't mean it is only available there.

Facts/Clues: I believe the overall basis of the fic was that Steve kissed Tony in public quite impulsively to make a point (in front of some police officers or fire men perhaps who were making homophobic remarks?) In order to avoid public backlash against Tony and subsequently the company, Pepper comes up with the plan for them to date for a year before breaking up. Of course, the two end up falling for each other, but think the other is just waiting for the year to be over.

There's a scene where a reporter or photographer sneaks into the workshop (via car trunk?) and just finds the two playing cards together, or something along those lines. I believe this helps convince the media and public that they really are together and it isn't a stunt.

Very specifically, I feel like the beginning and part of the end include roughly the line "Justin Hammer is a knob." Because he unleashes an evil, robotic, giant TV on some sorts. When this happens, I believe Tony leaves Steve sleeping in the hotel room to go fight this creation. Possibly from another story, cannot confirm for certain whether this goes with the above, but I feel like it does?

The end possibly involves a passage or two in italics about how they grow old together in a retirement home (or something along those lines) and Tony makes Steve an electric blanket. This could of course be from an entirely different story. I just feel like it was maybe involved here.

I recently lost all my AO3 bookmarks [long story], but even if I hadn't they were a bit of a mess and I probably wouldn't have found this fic in them. I've tried searching what I believe to be the relevant tags on AO3 and haven't turned it up just yet. Sorry I am by turns quite certain in placed and very uncertain in others. It's been a while since I read it and it quite suddenly came to mind. I would appreciate any help, of course, and if someone can locate it I'll edit that into the main text!

Hello. I am looking for a Stucky fanfic where James helps Steve escape from Shield/shield surveillance. Steve goes to a coffee shop regularly to get the shield agents use to that routine. Natasha is in charge of the detail and knows that something is going on. In the end, Steve gets out via the Subway system and lives with Bucky near a deli shop (maybe?) with two dogs.

Another story lost in the crowd. Help! I found "Broken" and "Never Gonna Happen" in the last few days but neither of them is the one I wanted. Steve and Tony are in love and their relationship is groing great. Then Bucky is found and suddenly all Steve's attention is on his oldest friend. Tony is understanding, but as the week go by and Steve spends less and less time with his lover, Tony's heart breaks more and more each time he's forgotten. He makes reservations for a dinner date, but Steve never shows up, forgetting it's their first (fifth?) anniversary. Steve doesn't mean to ignore the man he loves, it's just that Bucky needs him right now. He's sure Tony understands, not really realizing how much time has passed since they've spent time together.

I'm not sure if this part is from the same story or another tale. Steve and Tony are going out and making plans to go out together, but it always seems to be the three of them now. Steve is anxious for his best friend and his lover to get along but doesn't realize that they're both resentful of each other and of the time he spends with the other man.

Hey!! So recently I've read some darcy&bucky fics and i am deciding that that is my new fav. So specifically I am looking for some fics where Darcy is the one who comes across Bucky while he is still trying to get his head on straight and is ultimately the one who gets to bring him in to the avengers. I've read "The Extraordinary Friendship of Darcy Lewis and James Buchanan Barnes" by cosmicocean, the one where she finds him in a diner eating pancakes and then they have to run from hydra, and the 'Run verse pieces. Anything else that you guys would suggest?? I'm fine with any pairing really, darcy and bucky could be together or they could just be friends or bucky could be with someone else or darcy could be with someone else, whatever you find where Darcy is the one that brings bucky in is great!

I've already read 'Simple' by Osidiano (so good, please go read it). I think I've come across scenario this in other fics but I don't remember which ones. The angstier the better! Especially if Bucky sees 'Steve Rogers' as friend and Cap as foe and refuses to reconsile the two. Happy endings are appreciated!

Please no fics that pair Steve with someone who is not Bucky or vice versa. Mentions of canon other love interests is ok though. Gen fics are also fine :) Top!Bucky/Bottom!Steve is preferable to me if the fic contains sex.

After reading a couple of stories with a similar storyline I'd like to find any where Tony and (insert Avenger name here) are together and the others are 'protective' of the other person. Nobody, not even Pepper, bothers to look past Tony's reputation as a raging playboy so they're all just waiting for him to start cheating on his new lover (usually Steve but I'll accept anybody on the extended team). When the other person's attitude changes, everyone assumes it's because Tony's been cheating (or any other reaston to assume) but it's the other way around and Tony knows telling the truth won't do him any good. So he's silent while his heart breaks and the others turn on him and support the silent cheater. That could be either emotionally or physically. I've already read two such stories which either got lost in the shuffle of new fic or a WIP that I marked but didn't download. The first starts out with Natasha punching Tony and breaking his cheek. Tony later falls in love with another guy who dies of cancer. The second one has Tony coming home early to find Steve having sex with a woman on the couch. Steve's a jerk in this one, hating the fact that he's in love with a man and not liking the woman he's staying with only because he knocked her up. (Both of those stories I found searching this site, so they can be found with a bit of work...okay, the first one is "Newborn" at fanfiction.net) Thanks, all.

This is probably a wild goose chase, but what they hey.

I'm looking for any fic where Pepper cheats on Tony, or where Tony or others would consider it a reasonable assumption that she has. If the infidelity is assumed rather than actual, I'd much prefer if Pepper not realize that she's given that impression. The only 'Pepper Cheats" story I could find was one where Tony has a cuccold fetish, which is not what I am looking for.

If none such are available, I'll take anything where the relationship is on the rocks or breaks up and it's Pepper's fault rather than Tony's. (Please do not including the thousand-odd fics where she breaks up with him in order to leave him free for the relationship that's the actual focus of the story.)

Internet fudge brownies if Tony assumes that their issues are his fault, since Pepper's so good with people but Tony isn't, and sucks at relationships. And of course Tony whump is always good.

I've been reading different fandoms of fanfic for about a decade now and have run across this scenario in the likes of The Sentinel, Magnificent Seven, Buffy, Criminal Minds, and X-Files. Woke up this morning wondering if anyone had written such stories for The Avengers/Iron Man/Captain America/Hulk. Still working as part of the group, one member is kept/pushed outside of the circle socially or during downtime. Or forgotten once the battle is over and left to make their own way home. When parties or nights out are planned one person is left out, not even thought of to invite. Not so much like, "Oh, Bruce won't come, he doesn't drink," but the odd man out coming to the kitchen for a late night glass of water to find the others just getting in from a party he/she knew nothing about.

I just read most of the series First Impressions and Second Chances by lilsmartass where Steve and Clint, with the backing of Fury and Hill, let Tony know that, outside of the actual battles, he wasn't wanted, wasn't part of the team, even rejecting every gift or weapons upgrade Tony brought them. Harsh story but it left me wondering if there were any more like that, with any of the Avengers family left 'out in the cold'.

And the tags are just guidelines for what I'm looking for, not set in stone.

Update: Reading the stories suggested in a post from January I found "An Acceptable Loss" by RandomSlasher where Coulson wakes up alone in a Pennsylvania hospital about 4 months after the Battle of New York, with no sign of any visitors and no change in his apartment when he finally makes his own way back to NY. He feel totally abandoned and thinks that he was wrong in thinking that any of the team or even Fury were his friends. Turns out to be a paperwork glitch that made everyone think he was dead.

Any story like that one, where someone thinks that he/she is on the outside, even though it was never the case, also covers what I'm looking for here. And check out that story; its a good one.

A while ago, I was in the middle of a fic that I'm fairly certain was on AO3, but I lost track of the link.

I'm pretty sure it was post-Civil War), with Steve and Tony trying to work out their issues and living under the same roof. The rest of the world doesn't know Steve is alive for a while (with the exception of Carol and maybe a few other people). They're taking care of a girl who is a clone (sort of, because she's female unlike Steve), and she was trained as a weapon and didn't have a real name when they got her. The little girl ends up being called Maria and has a lot of emotional issues and what basically amounts to PTSD because she was raised to be a murder weapon. She has trouble making decisions and asserting her preferences and wants, especially at first.

That's all I can really remember. If you know what fic I'm talking about, please help because I'd love to finish reading it. Thanks!

I am really in the mood for some great Steve/Tony fics that explore Steve and Tony meeting for the first time (i.e the events of the movie) and them falling in love afterwards. This doesn't have to actually include events from the movie, but be set directly after it. I want it to really focus on them really feeling out their relationship, getting to know each other and the love that blossoms from it. I'm looking for first-time fics of any rating (though I do like higher ratings just because those two are seriously hot together), and I like longer fics but will accept any length as long as it's not a drabble ficlet.

I was reading a Steve/Darcy fic tonight and it got me thinking of another one I read a few months back, but for the life of me I can't find it. Hoping you all can help:

*The fic starts with Darcy depressed because her grandmother (??) died and she needs to return home for the funeral.
*Steve and Darcy have a strained relationship bcause he just doesn't know how to handle her.
*Darcy likes him (and he likes her back, though her doesn't really understand it).
*Steve comes aupon her crying and yada, yada, yada... he volunteers to go home with her as a "friend" even though she says he "hate's her" or something to that effect.
*Steve gets Tony to lend him the jet for the trip, the rest of the Avengers are worried about him going with her because they know about the strained relationship beween Steve and Darcy.
*Darcy was adopted and she has an aunt (??) who is rude/mean/snobby to her.
*Steve and Darcy end up getting closer while they are away and Steve defends her against ther snobby aunt (??)
*I am about 95% sure this was a completed fic and I knwo I read it on A03.
*I think it was rated M (maybe explicit) and had a little hanky panky between Steve/Darcy, but it really focused on their relationship growing.

I'm looking for a fic where Tony is abused by his boyfriend, whose name I don't remember. I think it started with an M but I'm not sure.

I remember that when he tried to subtly tell the rest of the Avengers about it, he said "Sometimes he gets physical." The Avengers laughed and said they knew, but they thought he was talking about sex, not physical abuse. Tony figured that meant that they knew what The Boyfriend was doing and approved of it, so he eventually thought that he deserved it and that The Boyfriend really was trying to help him.

Another thing I remember is that The Boyfriend told Tony that Rhodey only liked him for the War Machine suit and that he actually had to pay Pepper to spend time with him.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I'm looking for fics where Loki is Thor's ~~husband~~ ~~wife~~ spouse, whether it follows canon and the Avengers didn't know or an AU where Loki isn't the bad guy. Jotun!Loki is fine; mpreg is fine; arranged marriage is fine, though preferably, Thor and Loki were friends before getting married.

Heya All,

I'm in the mood for a couple of certain types of fics, so I am hoping all of you can help me find some. :)

1). I was one hold today and there was an old Eric Clapton song on the hold-line and it got me thinking about what Steve Rogers would think of the song (I know, completely random thought), but once I started thinking of that I started thinking of his thoughts, feelings, reactions, etc to the modern world and now I am craving fics like that. I am looking for Steve/Tony centric fics (either, pre-slash, first-time or established relationship) and basically Tony/the Avengers/etc introducing Steve to new things about the modern world from music to TV/Movies to slang, food, clothes, etc. :-D Any rating is welcome!

2). Okay, so I was introduced to this kind of trope through the Arthur/Merlin fandom, but I am looking for Steve/Tony fics that center around (or feature scenes about) how the public reacts to Captain America and Iron Man dating/getting/married/having kids, etc. Basically I am just looking for fangirls shippng "Stony" and them finding out about it, news media constantly posting articles about them, reporters vying for interviews, speculation about their sex life, etc. This can be pre-slash, first-time or established relationship. Any rating is welcome!

POSSIBLE CATWS SPOILERS!
Hello, looking for one specific fic, plus any Steve/Bucky recs.

The fic is set in present day, after Bucky recovers his memory from his time as the Winter Soldier and is avoiding Steve. Steve is nervous, because days before Bucky died back in the war, they slept together and never got a chance to talk about it. He corners Bucky who says something to the effect of, "Don't worry, buddy, I won't tell anyone you're homosexual. Don't want to tarnish Captain America, just friends helping each other out." There is pining galore, from Bucky who doesn't think he's good enough and Steve, who thinks Bucky is rejecting him. Steve also does an interview with a reporter and comes out on national TV, I think?
Also, any awesome Stucky fic recs would be welcomed!

Any help in these two areas would be appreciated.
