All i can rly remember about this fic is that after Loki, Clint is kidnapped (sold out maybe??) And tortured by some SHIELD agents (I remember Hill??) Who blamed him for the whole brainwashed thingo.

I've been low key lookin for a year ish so I'm kinda curious if anyone knows what it is or if I made it up

Now that it's been a few weeks since the release of Captain America: Civil War, I'm wondering if any of y'all know about any good fics about the events of the film and its aftermath with a focus on one or more of the female MCU characters. Natasha is my fave and I think her arc in the movie was fascinating, so of course I'd especially like fics about her, but Wanda or Sharon would also be amazing. Or fics about how CACW affected a female character who didn't appear in the movie: Pepper Potts, Maria Hill, Jane Foster, and beyond.

Gen is fine, as are most ships. I ship Tony/Pepper and would love a fixit for them, but I am also willing to read fic where the breakup sticks.

Anyway, let me know if you're fond of any post-Civil War fic that's lady-centric, or team fic that gives a well-developed character arc to one or more female characters alongside the dudes.

Hey All,

I'm looking for a fic that I'm dying to read again, but for the life of me I can't remember enough details to find it. So, I thought I would ask you all for help.

~~Steve goes down in the ice, but somehow his mind/spirit finds its way to a nightlight(??) that Howard built and put in Baby!Tony's nursery.
~~There was a scene between Howard and Maria around when the machine/nightlight was put in Baby!Tony's room, a vague "brining home baby" theme a think, but I'm not sure.
~~I remember something about Tony calling or thinking of Steve as the "Sssshhh Man" or something like that because even though Steve was aware of someone being beyond the murky surrounding he was lost in he couldn't really comminucate more than a shushing/whisper sound at first.
~~The more the years pass the more Steve was able to communicate in actual words, but I think mostly he could only communicate with Tony for some reason.

Annnddd... that's about it. I just distinctly remember the machine/nightlight/?? Howard invented, it being in Baby!Tony's room, the shushing noise Steve made at first that only Tony heard and being able to talk later on. I know it ends with Steve waking up and him being with Tony in the end, but that's it.

Hi! I've been searching for two fics in particular, and I have another general rec request.

The first fic is long, begins pre-ironman and is Tony-centric. (Also, I love angst so it probably had a healthy helping of that). I know it has Loki, and I know it has Fury -- in this fic, Fury has a huge soft spot for Tony. Tony also thinks of Fury in a more paternal way. In any case, the scene that I really remember is where Fury says "Ant. Boot." to Loki, and Tony thinks that that is so badass (and just like Fury). I think Tony was smirking or smiling? I don't know... I've been looking all over for this fic and I can't find it! Oh, and it was, because of the nature of the fic, either gen or pepperony.

The second fic (it may be the same) is also another long Tony-centric fic, but in this one, for whatever reason, Tony doesn't drink, and when he's giving his speal to Loki, Loki notices and Tony winks at him. I'm pretty sure it was tea that Tony was drinking?

Lastly, and I'm sorry that this is so long, I'm looking for any really long Tony-centric fics that start from his childhood? Preferably slash -- any pairing, but I am more of a Stony girl.

I meant to request this a while back, but I guess I forgot... decided to ask since I just remembered it. Anyways, a while ago, I watched this BRILLIANT (bollywood) movie, Mardaani (shameless pimping, btw) about a seriously bad-ass female cop, who more or less single-handedly takes down a sex-trafficking ring after they kidnap one of the girls she is fostering. But what really struck me, apart from the kick-ass heroine, was the role of her husband... who is a decidedly NOT bad-ass civilian married to the heroine, i.e. basically the male counterpart of Laura Barton in AoU...

So, I am wondering if there are any such stories in the Avengers where fandom which has a lot of kick-ass women... Natasha, Maria Hill, Sif, Sharon Carter, Peggy Carter, Wanda... hell, even the Agents of SHIELD agents.

Established Relationships prefered, obviously, but if the guy is totally turned on by how bad-ass she is and wants to marry her on the spot, then that is good too. Please no gender-bending or Trans-characters. I want the women to shine for once without being over-shadow'd by the men. Also, no dom/sub... etc etc. I just want a normal domestic relationship (kids optional).

In summation, I'm looking for any fics (complete) where the kick-ass heroine is married to a civilian (OMC prefered) who basically exists so that she can come home to someone... Hell, he could even be a damsel-in-distress while she does all the heavy lifting and takes down the bad-guys.

P.S. NO BRUCE/NATASHA... coz I think there are few of those which might fit, but in my head Bruce will always be the Hulk and can take care of himself... making it impossible to enjoy the story.

P.P.S. In case, my request in still unclear, think Zoey and Wash from Firefly, but w/o Wash being a bad-ass pilot.

Trying to locate a story I though I'd saved but can't find (yeah, again). The Avengers (& SHIELD members? Probably Phil and Maria with a small team) are trying to stop an attack by HYDRA. I remember Widow and/or Hawkeye coming in through an upper window or roof vent. The location is isolated by a severe snow storm; it's either a mall or an airport, a place with a lot of open spaces and a lot of people. I think Hawkeye was apart from his teammates and out in the snow, either attacked by a part of the HYDRA team or following them outside and taking them out (or both). Thanks loads.

This is an offshoot of sorts for a search for a lost story in a different fandom that didn't work out. I got to thinking I'd like to see this story line in the Avengers. The first characters I thought of was Steve and Tony in a relationship. When Bucky comes back into Steve's life he leaves Tony in his dust. How does he react; how much does he care of is hurt? How does the team react? Did they even know they were a couple? How does it affect the team, how they work together or socialize? This story could be any couple + 1. Tony leaves Steve for Pepper. Or Bruce. Pepper leaves Tony for Phil. Any three or more from the Avengers family.

I'm just tagging the possible characters. I'll take any pairings in that circle.

I do recall one story has Steve so intent on searching for Bucky, he forget about Tony. Not breaking up with him, just mindlessly not being there for events or his birthday or their first anniversary, something like that. Anybody know which one that was?

I've seen many stories dealing with homophobia (and could always do with a new one, hint hint), but don't think I've come across any that deals with racism. Either against blacks (Sam and Rhodey), or against Natasha for being Russian or Thor for being from 'some place else'. Distrust either within the team, from inside Shield, or the press and/or the public. Okay, I have seen, once or twice, the press showing suspicion of the Russian Natasha, but just in passing, as a passing gossipy type headline and not in any actions or open hostility. I've never seen any stories where there is objections to have Iron Patriot/War Machine or Falcon on the team. Maybe someone questioning how Captain American, and American Icon, can stand working with those black boys or that girl...she's just eye candy yadda yadda yadda. Or even having the 'token girl' on the team, either Natasha or Hill. (I just can not see anyone getting in Fury's face, calling him a nig...nope, can't see that happing.)

I am looking for a AU Avenger story, I read it in October at Ao3 but I forgot to bookmark it.

The story starts with Steve waking up from his frozen state, and SHIELD instead of setting him free, keeps him as a prisoner. Eventually he is joined by Peter.

Basically, SHIELD believes that those with powers are dangerous and need to be under lock and key.

Tony is also in prison, and he stays in SHIELDs custody because they injected Pepper with a poison of some kind. He is kept prisoner with Bruce.

I believe Thor and Loki were also kept prisoners.

Towards the end, Natasha and Clint with Maria and Phil's help free the Avengers.

I think Pepper sends them to a cottage to recover, until eventually the whole team saves the world.

I am unfortunately providing a very bad summary to a very good story. It is killing me the fact I forgot to bookmark it.

Exactly what the title suggests. I'm looking for recommendations focussing on the ladies, especially Pepper (!), Darcy, Natasha and Jane. I don't mind them being paired with anyone, really, but I would love something focussing on their character and/or how incredible they are at what they do.

Also, if anyone knows any good fanvids about any of the above or all at once, I will give you my eternal gratitude, possibly my firstborn too.

I'm looking for a story that someone else was also searching for some time back, here, that doesn't seem to have been found.

It was set after the Avengers, and wasn't a fix-it. Steve decides he wants to do something useful, and ends up taking the training to become a SHIELD agent at which point he's kind of assigned to Clint and Natasha as their handler, as they won't accept any other agent after Coulson's death. I think it was kinda written from Maria Hill/possibly Fury or Sitwell's perspective, although it wasn't specifically a POV piece.

It was on AO3, and was written soon after Avengers came out.

Hello again!

Have I mentioned that I love you guys? Well, I do. I don't know what I'd do without this comm. Languish in my ficless depression, probably.

Anyway, I'm looking for a bunch of things today.

First, I rewatched the Avengers on the DL last night, with the volume super low. This made me pay much, much more attention to the facial cues and the body language of each character. When I was done, I was really dman surprised that fic normally portrays Natasha as disliking Tony Stark. While I can honestly say that it's been a WHILE since I've seen the Iron Man movies, if I judged their relationship based on the Avengers, I'd say that they actually got along pretty well. She responds to his snark, and vice versa. She actually acknowledges the 'genius billionaire philanthropist' comment, which made me laugh. She looks like she's noting that it's all true. They even snark about the "party" comment later on in the movie, and I LOVED it. So after all that blather, I'm looking for fics in which Natasha and Tony are good friends. Preferably not involved, because I can't see it, but like bros. And everyone being surprised, because god knows that she bitched about being his PA enough, to Clint. Maybe she defends him, and vice versa? I've read the really famous ones, where Tony is a mutant, but I'm looking for others along the same line.

Second, I'm looking for fics in which we learn about the backstories of generally ignored characters. I've done this search for Phil Coulson, where his family ends up finding out that he's a BAMFy secret agent, but today I've got a hunkering for Maria Hill's backstory. I mean, she's waaay BAMF too, and I've realised that I quite like her. So I'm looking for fics which are Hill-centric, preferably with reference to her past and background etc. Also preferably gen, or not Maria/Steve, because I don't get that pairing.

I know I had another search, but god help me, I've forgotten it. I'd lose my own head if it wasn't screwed on.

I am looking for stories that focus on (or at least include a heavy load of) the friendship between Phil and another person - Hill, Sitwell, Pepper, Fury, Natasha, Bruce, Clint, Tony, Darcy or whatnot are all fine, I just want Phil have a non-romantic, friendly, supportive relationship with another person (or several). There can be romance too, it doesn't have to be gen fic, and I don't even care about what the pairing is, as long as the story also pays some attention to Phil's friendship with someone else (matchmaking fics are fine, too).

Any suggestions/recs are very much appreciated!

I literally only vaguely remember the very ending of this fic.

Fury's running around being a giant evil ass, Hill hates Barton like burning and it was a Coulson lives! fixit fic (probably?). Fury says something to the effect that Barton (and Widow and Coulson???) still belong to SHIELD! Muwahaha! and Barton (or Coulson or Widow) is like, Na-ah, we handed in our resignations a few hours ago... and Hill accepted them! Fury's all Nooo, damn Hill! damn you Avnegers! and Barton's like, you know she always hated me.

As you can see I really don't remember much, but it was probably a Coulson/Clint fic or Gen because that's what I read. Probably on AO3 or maybe LJ (possibly ff.net) because that where I read. And that's all I got.

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for fics which detail the absolute f*cking disaster NYC must have been, after the movie. Injured civillians, injured agents, soldiers, devastated infrastructure, devastated everything. Most fics mention it, but shoot straight past it. I don't think it would have been that easy.

Give me something that shows just how shocking the destruction would have been. Something that details the loss of life, and the overflowing hospitals, and the overworked doctors, and somehow there's nothing much the avengers can do. Maybe tony can help with tech, or donate money or space, but nothing hands on, and nothing anyone else can do. Something that details the rebuilding of life for the common person, you know?

I don't care what pairing but I'm good with anything, I'm good with gen.

Hiya guys!

I'm always amazed at this comm and how you respond perfectly! So I've come to you looking for something else.

I'm looking for a different sort of reveal fic. Not the inter-avengers reveal, because I think that one's pretty much taken for granted anyway. I'm talking about outside the Avengers. And not just the general public. Like, families.

I read this epic series in which Darcy Lewis has a family and none of them know what she does, until they do, and it is EPIC. (Basic Bitches by twistedingenue).

I'm looking for things like that. Where people who still have links to the outside world (of sanity), like Phil, or Darcy, or Jane, or even Hill, have reveals to their family that actually, they work with SHIELD and their basassery is shown and stuff. I don't even care if it's OC or what. I'm happy with any pairing, any rating, any central character. All is good.

I hope there's something out there!
