The first fic I read several month ago, when I first watched all the movies and then started reading the fic. Bruce Hulked out at the Tower, and while everyone else was a little freaked out, Tony and Hulk went out onto the roof to watch either the sun set or rise. They were sitting on the edge of the roof with their feet dangling.

The other story I never read, but read the summary, and I thought I had marked it, but obviously didn't since I can't find it in my bookmarks.

The description on A03 was Tony and Steve had been captured and were being held in a cave, I think, and Steve was the injured one, and Tony was the BAMF/strong/supportive one during the kidnapping.

I appreciate the help in finding these stories.

I have a problem. Steve/Tony was one of my favorites some time and I read everything I could find about them. Then I got addicted to the time travel fics where Tony is send back and meets Steve.
One fanfiction in perticular stayed in my mind but when I searched it with the tags I remember I came up with nothing :/

This is what I remember of the story: (It two or more years since I read it so I don´t know all)

The pairing was Steve/Tony, Tags: Time Travel,BAMF!Tony and it was finished.

The story is like this:
Tony wakes up on some hill, hung up and with some metall branded in his arm. He figures he did drunk engeniering again and something exploded. Then two police men showed up and asked who he was and stuff.
One of them looked at the wound in his arm and goes white and green. Tony thinks that the wound is nothing and that he got hurt more severly than this quite often.
He said than that he is Tony Stark and tells them to bring him to his tower. They are confused but think it´s because of his wounds so they take him with them to Howert Stark.
Here he slowly gets that this is not his time because of the cars and the lack of technology
The police brings him to his father. There he meets Steve(preserum) and the point of view shifts to him.
Steve brings Tony to a doctor who said he would heat up the metall untill they could move it out of the wound.
Tony then shouts him down, angry but controlled that before this metall is hot enaugh to meld his arm is burned off.
The rest of the story is kind of a blurr. I think Tony follows Steve on his way like in the movie discriped. ANd they get together but in the end Tony somehow is in the future again. Sorry if that is to vague.

Mostly though I love this fanfiction because how Tony is portrayed as a strong person and a genius even without the packup of his name and money. I searched a while but I can´t find it anywhere even thought I read it first on AO3.

I'm looking for a specific story that deals with a blind Tony clawing his way back to being Iron Man. He was blinded on an Avenger mission, and in the subsequent months all the Avengers let their friendship with him slide. Tony develops bionic eyes - the prototype version being arc-reactor blue lenses - and becomes Iron Man again in secret while his former team think he gave the armor to another person. Finally Steve finds out about it, but I believe the story ends with them both having a long way yet to go to become friends again.

I think the story was gen, but might have been Steve/Tony.

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here so I not completely sure of how to do this... :$

So, I'm looking for this Fic where Tony stark was a mutant and he had lived with Charles Xavier during the star of the school. Storm,Scott and Jean Grey was the only ones he knew before he left.
Years pass and the Avengers movie happens and S.H.E.I.L.D are supposed to work with the X-men or something and Charles sends Tony a X-men suit and he later gets found out to be a mutant by the avengers team...

that's pretty much all that I remember, anybody know this?

Looking for a fic where the Avengers Tower is attacked. Tony distracts the attackers with the story of his life or maybe it was just him time in Afghanistan. Then finally towards the end he say something like my company does not make weapons anymore but it doesn't mean I still don't make weapons. Then a little robot crawls out from under his collar I think and attacks. That the main parts I remember. I think it was on AO3. Any help appreciated.

Hello community! This is my first time posting so I hope I do this right... Anyways, I'm looking for a few things

3. I'm pretty sure there was a fic I read awhile back that I loved. It had Bruce, Tony, and Clint being best buds and super protective of each other. It was awesome. I'm pretty sure there was a scene that had Bruce and Clint defending Tony from Fury, but that might be my imagination. Very vague, I know, but anything that fits this description will work.

4. Tony being protective of the team in public. I need it. I love that stuff.

5. The team being protective of Tony. Like, explicitly. The main focus. I don't care who they're protecting him from, just... Protection.

I'm looking for any fics where either Loki, Clint, or Bruce is hurt/whumped in some way, and the only person they'll trust/feel safe with/allow to touch/help/go near them for some reason is Tony. Basically, any fics with Tony wowing everyone by how good he is at helping/comforting the whumped character, and everyone being very suprised that the hurt character choose Tony, of all people, to trust so implicitly.

Hello everyone!

Today, I'm on the hunt for any fic that you have which would have Professor Charles Xavier and our beloved Tony Stark interacting. I mean, in any significant way. Fics where there are throw-away references to the x-men make me chuckle, but I'm looking for fics in which Tony and Charles know each other, whether they are good friends or whether they know each other more biblically.

I'll take pretty much any pairing because Tony is my fandom bicycle, but I'm partial to slash of the Tony/Loki, Tony/Bruce, Tony/Steve, though I'll also accept Tony/Pepper because I love Pepper. But I'd hate to break up Charles/Erik, which is another OTP of mine. I'll even take Gen, I don't mind. I don't mind whether Tony is a mutant, or whether he knows Charles from the schmoozing circles of the New York rich and famous, or whether Charles tried to stop Howard's abuse. Seriously, I'll take whatever.

My aim in this search is to have the team find out that actually, Tony's got a life outside SI and the Avengers, and that that life is actually pretty awesome. Even if it's fics about the people Tony Stark knows, or something. I'm on my knees. I have a BURNING NEED.

Hey guys,
So, I made the mistake of rewatching the Avengers last night(for like the millionth time : ) and now, of course, I'm dying for some awesome science bros feels : )
I'm looking for 5(!) different types of fics:
1. Ones were Bruce is an utter Bamf, either as a doctor, or as the Hulk, or just as himself-where the unassuming scientist everyone assumes turns into a stupid, raging beast, proves them all wrong : )
2. Fics where Tony and Bruce get together, and somehow fix all the broken edges of each other, and are generally bamf together-basically, Tony and Bruce as a power couple-I'd especially love it if the media loves them as a couple.
3. Any fics involving these two and the media, in any way, shape, or form.
4. Any fics where Tony's friends(Rhodey, Pepper, or Happy) marvel at how good Bruce is for Tony, and how amazing Tony is with Bruce.
5. Any fics where Tony defends Bruce/Hulk, and shows his utter trust in the Hulk-ie, takes the suit off while Bruce is transformed, scaring everybody senseless : )
6.(I know, I said 5 : ) Any fics, any at all, that show Bruce/Tony being bamf together, as a unit/couple, whatever.

Hello lovely people! My first post here, so I hope I am being kosher, feel free to let me know if not. Okay, IF you haven't seen BSG all the way through, there are SPOILERS for some of the Cylon and Final Five themes!!!

I've become a bit obsessed with Tony Stark as a robot/human hybrid from the other posts on this site, which were fabulous. After reading similar works by Del_Rion @ao3, including the Matrix crossover, I got this idea in my head that a Battlestar Galactica 2004 crossover might exist somewhere. Slash, Gen, Canon, whatever is fine by me! Even not in BSG verse, other fics with these themes.

SPOILER BEGINS NOW:
Specifically with Tony as a Cylon or Cylon Hybrid (the ones that are in a pool directly connected to the ships and other cylons, and talk like Oracles and are scary smart and all-knowing ;) perhaps even similar to the Final Five or what happens to Sam's head in the end?

Basically, i really want to find a scene where Tony is hooked up to any mainframe and spouting computer-ese that makes sense to him and confuses the non-techno Avengers ;)

Hey, so I've posted on here once before and you lot were all so incredibly helpful so I'm posting again! ;)

Okay, this is going to sound strange (stranger than my last post and that was all over the place!) but I was wondering if there were any fics with robot!Tony... or something equivalent to that? I recently read My Greatest Creation by BatNeko: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8995603/1/My-Greatest-Creation which has made me craving some awesome robot fics! But also, on a side note, if you have any non-human!Tony I wouldn't mind that either, but as that was kinda like my last post and I got amazing responses to that already, so... I don't know ;)

Um, also I'm looking for a fic... I don't know what it was called but it featured Tony being able to see wings? No one else could, but Tony could feel them and he had to make his own clothes (?) because otherwise he had to cut slits out of them (or something). I also remember this scene where Tony finds out Coulson (who could also see wings) thought he was a sociopath because his wings didn't show emotion as Tony had learnt to control it....
It was Tont/Steve and I think Tony was a virgin? I have no clue, but it was an awesome fic so I really want to read it again! :)

Im looking for a story that I read years ago. It was a series. It was not quite a Pretender crossover, but the stories used from the show's themes heavily.

Clint used to be a Pretender

they find the center and somehow tony ends up with all the kids

he buys them a farm house

they go shopping in Macy's everyone keeps thinking that tony is going to further fuck up the kids but he does great,

Clint realizes that he worked through tony's kidnapping as a kid when he was a pretender,

a lot of the kids were genetically Steve,

Steve found out that tony was a twin i think but the twin dies of blue baby. .

Hey y'all! Okay, so I know I am going to spectacularly fail at this; I am new to this community and this is my first post, so please be nice to me!! :)

Okay, well I hope you guys can help me: I'm looking for fics which are mostly Tony-centric, with him being majorly underestimated... Like, he is secretly kick-ass, but people don't know/realize because they can't get past arragant exteria...
I would also like Tony with powers, or awesome abilities of some sort... maybe Extremis!Tony, Mutant!Tony, Assassin!Tony, Hacker!Tony, Doctor!Tony... Basically anything like that!! I have to say I do like angst, but I don't mind either way.

this one might be tricky. Shortly after Tony n Pepper break up, Tony disappears. Instead of searching for him someone(Fury, Natasha, Hill?) tells the Avengers he is just of sulking at a tropical resort. Thus no efforts to locate or rescue him. As you can imagine he is VERY pissed. Last I saw it it was a W.I.P It may also originally have been on Avengerkink but I don't know. I didn't see it in their W.I.P. file.

I'll be moving upstate in a few days and would really appreciate some fic recs to dump on my ereader! I'm looking primarily for stories that are epic in length, 50k words at least. Most of my reading so far has been in the Thor/Loki part of the fandom, but I'm branching out to Loki/Tony a bit as well. Completed fics are preferred, but active WIP are very welcome as well!

I tend towards slash fics, but am open towards het pairings or OT3+ pairings as well. Slow buildup for romance is great, although fics that deal with already established relationships are also good. Lots of drama! High tension! But also some comedy or fluff to balance it out. (Pretty much anything by scifigirl47 for example. XD ) I like fics that can hit a range of tone but still come together coherently.

I am an absolute stupid sucker for the following: jotun!Loki, competant!Thor, Tony being a smartass, Clint living in vents, Pepper being awesome, Avengers family feels, Tony's robots, space pirates (I blame Bend Around the Wind for that), Norse mythology ala Asgard, mythology remixes, putting the "universe" in MCU, exploring Jotenheim, exploring Jotuns, intersex!Jotuns, Loki getting 'redeemed' but still being a snarky little morally gray bastard, arranged marriage, the Avengers going from a team to a family, Natasha keeping her cool while everyone else loses their shit, etc.

Death!fics and heavy angst fics I have to take on a case by case basis. I can get immense satisfaction out of fics that put me through the emotional wringer, but don't enjoy stuff that makes me feel like I'm getting punished for reading it.

tl;dr : Moving, need long fics, so what's your favorite pairing/trope and what would you call its must read epics?

i'm new to the community and i'm hoping you guys can help me.

1- I've been looking for a fic i read last year and I can't seem to find it in my bookmarks. I'm not sure if it was just sciencebros or Bruce/Tony. All i can remember is that the Stark Tower (?) was attacked and the building was collapsing and Bruce hulked out so he can protect Tony. The author described the Hulk kneeling over tony to shield him from the falling stones and the rest of the team was trying to get them out. Does anyone know this story?

2- When Tony was telling Bruce that the Hulk was protecting him, when he told him he would be suiting up with the rest of them, when he told Cap that Bruce would show up to fight and when he suspected that Fury was up to something, it struck me that Tony might actually be the wisest of them all. He acts like a child but i think he's mostly hiding what he knows. i also suspect he knew that Black Widow was a spy in Iron Man 2 because of the way he looked at her when they first met. So, I'd like to read something where he surprises people with his wisdom and how much he actually knows.

3- Stories that explain why Tony does things. Maybe he drinks to calm his over-active brain (which i'm sure can be overwhelming)? Maybe he tries to piss people off to test them or something? and If you have any stories where someone realizes that Tony does things for a reason, that would be awesome!

- I prefer Movie!verse
- I'm okay with Gen and all pairings.

What I remember is Pepper is talking to Steve (or maybe it's Bruce?) and says something along the lines of even in a room full of some sort of people that aren't smart Tony can pick the one woman/man working on some sort of degree.

It probably was Tony/Pepper/Steve or Tony/Pepper/Bruce, but maybe not. I'm pretty sure I read it on AO3.

I'm looking for some stories where Tony is a certified doctor. Maybe no one knows cause he uses a different name or something. But anyway, maybe the team (or most of the team) don't realize/know so when Tony steps in to be his awesome doctor self everyone is all WHAT? Maybe he doesn't know they don't know, or maybe they always go to Bruce and Bruce and Tony just shrug cause I mean, who would really trust TONY with their health. Or something. Lol... so, yeah...

1. Any fics where Tony is very protective of "his people". Where he threatens to, or actually does, bring down the full might of Tony Stark Genius Billionaire onto some well-deserving bad guy.

2. Any fics where Tony is threatened and the team protects him in any manner, whether he knows it or not.

3. Tony has a lot more friends than he thinks he does, so gimme some fics where he discov friendship in unexpected (for him) places. (I.E. Fury, Natasha, Hill, etc.)

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for fics in which Tony isn't as "happy" as he's portrayed in fics and the movies. As in, okay, everyone knows that he's not actually happy, and that he's had a really bad past, and he's broken in so many ways, just as badly as anyone else on the team. Just because he went through a different type of torture to Clint and Natasha doesn't mean it was any less devastating. But I think people on the team, and in SHIELD forget it because he's so lighthearted and "happy" all the time, and it's difficult to imagine him having a past even comparable to the rest of the Avengers, who are darker, and more somber.

I'm looking for fics in which something happens and Tony shows his anger, and his darkness. And I want the others to be surprised. I want him to be angry, and cold, and dark, and absolutely nothing like the Tony Stark we (they) know. And then the others realise that it's a mask, and a lie, and that they've been underestimating him all this while. And maybe Tony will realise that he's slipped and he'll pull his mask back on, or something.

Okay, maybe too specific, but I'm essentially looking for fics in which Tony is covering his darker nature and temperment and it slips one day, and the others realise they've been duped all this while.

Anyone? I really hope I'm not blathering on, but. Yeah. I'm good with most pairings but for these kinds of fics I love Tony/Loki.

Hello all. I find myself craving a certain type of story tonight and since I've reread the ones I have bookmarked already I thought I would turn to you all and see if you could help me find some more.

I am craving Tony whump tonight, and a few different kinds in particular.

1. Stories where Tony blows himself up or otherwise injures himself in the lab. I'd also take in battle, but I'd really like things going boom in the lab. I just reread An Experiment Goes Awry by Dante_s_hell on AO3 (http://archiveofourown.org/works/455875/chapters/783884) and now I am craving other lab explosions/injuring creating situations. Bonus if there is h/c from the other Avengers or Loki. I'd love any pairing or gen.

2. Apparently this is the night to make Tony suffer. I'm also looking for Tony-with-a-migraine stories. I've just finished In Waking Moment by Ghibli22 on AO3 (http://archiveofourown.org/works/458891) and Pressure Poin by Ratherastory at AO3 (http://archiveofourown.org/works/455774) and I'd love more. I thought I saw one on the kink meme way back when, but not sure. Any and all Tony migraines would be awesome, any pairing or gen.

3. And to top off the Tony whump parade tonight, I'd love anything dealing with the fact that having a hunk of metal shoved into one's chest generally leads to issues. Kuailong has just started writing Best Laid Plans (Often Go Awry) on AO3 (http://archiveofourown.org/works/625761/chapters/1130007) and I've been stalking Arc Tremors y MountainRose on AO3 for updates daily. I'd love other stories along these lines. Especially ones dealing with the fact that Tony's immune system is likely compromised (such as the story that was requested here: http://avengers-search.livejournal.com/102180.html#comments). Any pairing or gen again please. Just, stories focusing on problems that the arc reactor causes.

4. And... totally unrelated to whump!Tony, I just remembered I've been meaning to ask about a specific story for a while now and haven't gotten around to it. I think it was on LiveJournal. Cap's shield was stolen, and he and the team (minus Tony) were on the trail of the thief. Tony was staying back since he had a meeting with a new bio-tech company. During the course of the meeting the company is attacked by mercenaries, who coincidentally enough have Steve's shield and are working for a guy connected with Hydra and the Red Skull. Tony does ninja-tech-fu with his phone to access the bio-tech company's security to help people get out, Happy is taken prisoner with the suitcase suit, Tony uses Cap's shield and homemade devices to fight back, and ends up drench in algae. Ick. Cap shows up just in time to help take down the bad guy. I'm fairly sure that this is a Steve/Tony story, but the relationship was pretty background and the story mostly focused on BAMF!Tony without his suit. Does anyone recognize this story? My Google-fu is on the fritz and I'd love to read it again.

Loki and Tony get kidnapped and end up rescuing themselves, but a much longer time has passed for them than has passed for the Avengers, who aren't too worried and are very upset that Tony has come back a different person than he was before. If I remember correctly it was Loki/Tony and Steve, or one of the members was noticing that Tony and Loki looked like they were comfortable around each other and seemed to forget that they weren't alone because of the amount of time they had spent together.

Please? I'm on my knees!

Hello folks!

I'm feeling rather cold at the moment, so I'm looking for something *fiery*. Okay, let me explain. I love Pepper, I really do. I think she's amazing. But I don't think she and Tony are meant for each other. As in. I love Tony too. But they're totally different people. Like, polar opposites. And while I understand the initial attraction I don't see anything in the long term. TBH while I love Steve/Tony too, I think Steve's too nice for Tony, who can be a dick at the best of times.

I'm looking for fics in which Tony gets together with Loki, and I don't particularly care about the circumstance, but I would like it to be (eventually) a monogamous relationship between them, but like no other. Something heated and fierce and rough. Not to say they don't love each other, and I'm not just looking for hot kinky sex either (though it helps). But something passionate, and burning. Because only Tony can understand the dark, desperate, angry, loneliness inside Loki, and vice versa. Am I making any sense?

So yes, essentially I'm looking for Frostiron fics, but on the dark side. I don't want Loki to turn out to be sweet and fluffy and romantic, and I don't want Tony to change into something he isn't just to have a relationship. And I want them to fit in their rough edges and anger and desperation, and knowing what it feels like to be unwanted and unloved and mistrusted at every turn.

God, I'm so sorry if I'm wasting your time with this! I really hope someone knows what I'm talking about and can help me out!

So, today (tonight?) I'm looking for some fics in which Tony speaks in a different language. We know he is a genius, so he wouldn't have that hard of a time picking up a new language. Also, he most likely has customers and such in other countries. And, I think living in a cave for 3 months with people speaking other languages would cause him to learn something, maybe Yinsen even taught him something.

Hey everyone!

I've read loads of fics involving physical fights between the avengers and the bad guys, but in today's world electronic attacks are just as common as physical ones.

So today, I'm looking for fics in which tony stark, specifically, has to fight off an electronic attack on the tower, Jarvis, whatever.

Give me mad computer skills, demonstrated so that no one else even knows what he's talking about. Tony always plays a fool but he's a bona fide genius, and it's about time the team realizes that.

I'm looking for things in which Tony's skills awe the others, because he's a good fighter, but there's some things in which no one can't compete with him. I'd like for them to defer to him, if that's in fic somewhere.

I hope my request isn't too odd.

Hiya everyone!

Today I'm looking for fics involving a very focused Tony. Objectively, we know the man is a genus. He's not just the owner of his father's company, but is the one who actually did something with it. He's probably very focused, and determined, especially when it comes to science and engineering.

So these would be fics in which people find it's actually very hard to get his attention when he's working on something, because of how into it he gets. Possibly also see the fruits of his labour, so it doesn't look like the things he gives the avengers are just toys designed by his faceless minions.

I'd also like it Tony manages to wow people with an actual display of his intelligence. Dropping into technical lingo unintentionally, keeping up with other scientists, maintaining a complete conversation with Bruce Banner in a language which only sounds like English but isn’t – that kind of thing.

Give me an intellectual hard on, essentially. I have a massive thing for smart talk, and people being highly intelligent, and unconsciously so, so it doesn’t feel like showing off. Like he loves science first and foremost.

I’m good with Bruce/Tony and Tony/Steve, but for the purposes of this search I think the former is more relevant.

Am I making sense? I hope so!

Hello!

I know Loki's gender and sex are portrayed as fluid, both in Canon and Fanon, but I was wondering if there are any fics out there which involve specifically always-a-girl!Loki, either with Steve or with Tony as the pairing if anyone.

Also, I'm looking for fics in which Loki and Tony (or Bruce) are intellectual equals, or at least, can back talk like champs. As in, I'm looking for fics in which Tony and Loki can keep up with each other, and there is snark, and possibly Fluff. I don't mind if it's Bruce instead of Tony. Come to think of it, is Bruce/Loki out there, somewhere?

Hi all!
Just found the comm(the wonders of google :), and I'm super excited! I'm looking for three different types of fics:
1.Any fics where doctorly Bruce treats Tony/acts as his doctor-especially anything involving the arc reactor.
2. Any fics where Tony has a disability/chronic illness of some form.
3. Any fics that show how broken Clint is, in some way, and the team helps him. Like, Clint has a disability(dyslexia?), or views himself as worthless, or hides his past, or thinks he's unworthy,etc. Anything really where Clint is whumped, and the team helps him.
4. Any fics set in the immediate aftermath of the battle(around shawarma time), that shows the team interacting-especially if whumped/bamf Clint or Tony is included : )
5. Any fics where the team realizes Clint and Coulson were in a relationship-I'd prefer no Coulson fixits.
6. Last one, I promise :) Any fics where the Team realizes Tony was abused as a child/see Tony for the wonderfully broken but strong person he is.

Tony created Dummy when he was drunk, and he said: "I don't want to be alone anymore." It was one of the first things Dummy heard and so he rewrote his coding until that was his number one duty. His creator was never supposed to be alone. And every time Tony would give him upgrades, Dummy would manipulate the coding so his primary function wasn't damaged.

JARVIS kept trying to explain things to Dummy but it didn't always work. After Tony was kidnapped, Dummy eventually just stopped working.

Steve would come down to the lab and hang out and draw. Steve really got along with Dummy, and I think either taught him how to shake hands or high five. One time Steve spilled all of his colored pencils and Dummy started to pick them up one by one. Tony bought Steve a bunch of colored pencils from a school, because Steve wanted a specific shade of blue (it matches Tony's Arc Reactor) Dummy also made a smoothie for Steve, and Tony tackled him because he didn't know what was in it.

Any ideas?

I'm searching for two fairly short fics.

The first one was always-a-woman!Tony/Steve, told from Clint's POV I think, and I definitely read it on AO3. The gist of it is, Tony's been acting weird and Clint is observing her in her workshop, and he comes up with the basic conclusion of "I dunno, she seems fine except she hasn't had any coffee at all today and she strapped speakers to her torso for no apparent reason." Turns out, she's pregnant and hasn't told anyone yet. Steve goes a little crazy throwing the coffee away when he finds out. Found. Clint Barton, Boy Detective by damalur.

The second fic, I think I read this one on LJ but I'm not positive, was either gen or Tony/Steve. The team is trapped in a cave with basically no means for escape. The Iron Man suit is in ruins, so Tony can't blast them all out. What Tony eventually does is create a bomb (or something) to blow up the debris blocking the way. The thing is, he has to remove the arc reactor for the bomb to work (which he doesn't tell anyone). Found. Blow Out by xaritomene.

After reading http://archiveofourown.org/works/95390 (nerds of the earth take note) and http://archiveofourown.org/series/21718 (mobverse) I find myself craving fic that show Tony's hacking skills.

I am also looking for a specific hacker!tony fic, where he goes to a company hq to talk about buying their algae something or other (green energy?) And he doesn't have the suitcase but he has his trusty cellphone to hack security and plan a takedown of invading terrorists. The terrorists somehow had Steve's shield and Cap was happy they found it. Definitely written post-IM2 and pre-CA or Avengers. ~~Help!~~ FOUND! Link in comments.
