I'm looking for Steve/Bucky fics where it's dramatically revealed in some way that Steve and/or Bucky is LGBT. I've already read A Long Winter, United States vs. Barnes, Things SHIELD Never Told Captain America, Warm Welcome, and Brooklyn. But it's such a great premise, I feel like there must be at least a few more I'm missing.

If Steve and Bucky have been in a relationship since the '30s, that's fine. But if the present-day reveal is what finally prompts them to admit their feelings for each other, even better.

Bonus points if the media/general public is somehow involved.

What I remember:

Fury is sending Steve on dangerous missions to route out hydra, Steve doesn't know this is the goal, Bucky works it out tells Fury off and insists on going with Steve on his missions. (Bucky shoots the guy Steves meeting in order to pull focus onto him and off Steve).

On mission Bucky wears a scarf to cover his face, during a fight he kills a girls father, he take of his scarf and gives it to her, tells her to cover her face when she fights so when she takes it off she can still go home.

Toothbrush is a luxury not to be used on mission?

It's a slow burn Stucky fic.

Steve wants them to avoid killing when possible and aim for turning the Hydra they can to there side, he changes his mind after a guy tries to blow them up and Bucky protects Steve by diving out of the van with the bad guy, scaring Steve.

I'm looking for an AU fic, where Bucky was the one on Red Skull's plane, and is found by SHIELD. But it diverges before that - the SSR puts Steve in cryogenic stasis, and Bucky is told Steve died. Then, somehow Steve is released or escapes and runs into Sam WIlson (literally, I think Sam was out fo a run). Steve doesn't remember anything of his past; also, he's still skinny. Sam takes him in, tries to help guide him in remembering some things. It may have been Steve/Bucky.

I know I saw it on AO3, and I think it had 6 chapters? I've gone through the bucky as Cap tag on AO3 and done several searches and have had no luck.

I'm looking for a fic that was possibly a gen team fic, or a Steve/Bucky+team fic. The main scene I can remember from it was Natasha, Clint & Tony were going to kinda prank Steve & Bucky by having Natasha jump out at them to surprise them and film their reactions. She goes into their apartment, hears voices from their bedroom and sneaks towards it, phone at the ready. However, when she gets a visual she realises that Steve's comforting Bucky whose eyes are red-rimmed as if he's been crying, and there's no way she can go through with the surprising them plan. She creeps away without letting them see her, then when she gets back to the others lies and tells them they weren't in, they must have gone out.

I'm looking for a story set after-ish Bucky's recovery, where he and Steve are living/back together. Steve starts worrying about Bucky's behaviour, feeling like he's hiding something or acting shifty (I think one incident specifically related to him reading/not reading?) or just that there's something wrong and he can't figure out what. He ask the others if they know anything, but finds out nothing. Finally Pepper (or possibly Natasha?) takes pity on him and lets him in on Bucky's secret- he's been hiding the fact that he needs glasses for reading (it doesn't affect his sniping abilities) because he thought they made him look stupid/weak/dorky. Steve doesn't think they do at all, and reassures Bucky of that, and gets him to stop hiding them.

I'm looking for a Steve/Bucky fic I know I read on AO3. Steve has got an as-and-when job drawing smutty pictures for one of those old dollar zine things. Bucky offers to model for him, though Steve changes it so Bucky's a girl in the pictures. Eventually I think Bucky dresses up as a girl for him, but I don't remember properly.

I know it was a Steve/Bucky fic. I remember it was like an old quote/saying from the war, the commandos. Something like "love you like SR/JBB" or to that effect.

And it becomes this retro thing later, a lot of clothes or knick knacks printed with that saying.

But it all stems from the Commandos having codes about Steve and Bucky sneaking off, or why either of them did anything.

I THINK it's movie-verse, set a little in the past, little in modern, but again, not certain.

I was thinking it was AO3, but I can't figure it out or find it again.

I can only remember small scenes from both of them, not sure if they were fairly short fics or if these are scenes from bigger ones.

1) Steve and Bucky keep ending up in the (Avengers Tower?) gym together, not speaking, just quietly using the equipment at the same time. Bucky keeps watching Steve working out via sideways glances/mirrors, until he eventually shifts the treadmill Steve's been using so it's (I think) in the middle of the room so he can openly watch- Steve comes in, sees the new placement, doesn't say anything but gets on it anyway. It's a weird dynamic between them, heavy with tension/build up and I think it ends up with them either making out or heading to their rooms for sex.

2) Recovering Bucky fic, Steve had brought him some candy he used to love (I think licorice?) that Bucky doesn't trust to not be poisoned until Steve's eaten some, which he pulls a face at because he can't stand the taste of it but he does anyway for Bucky.

I'm looking for a fic that includes a scene where Bucky's telling Steve about a mission during his time with Hydra (or possibly the Russians?) where his programming slipped slightly- the target was a young blonde man who he ended up going on the run with for a short time before his handlers caught up with them. Steve somehow assumed that Bucky had fallen in love with the guy and that it was a sad memory, but Bucky was more cheerful about it, saying that it had been mostly a physical diversion and he didn't mourn him.

I remember quite a bit about this multi-part (I think it was close to 30 connected short stories) series that I'm certain was posted on AO3, but I can't find it in my bookmarks, so I was hoping that someone would know it offhand.

In this world, BDSM is the norm and everyone is a sub or a dom (though Tony, being Tony, is a switch, I believe, though I think he subs to Pepper). I think the primary pairing was Clint/Coulson (ironically, I can't remember who was Dom/sub, though I'm assuming that Coulson was the Dom), though as the series progressed, it explored many other relationships: Fury/Natasha - Dom!Fury and sub!Natasha), Steve/Bucky (Dom!Steve and sub!Bucky - that was a really heartwrenching part of the series and also the last couple of parts I saw posted). I don't remember with whom, if anyone, Bruce was paired, though it might have been Bruce/Betty.

Another plotline that was explored was that Justin Hammer was a sub who'd been misclassified (and abused) by his father into being a Dom. His crimes were actually somewhat excused when it was discovered.

I was wondering if you could help me find a story.
I dont remember where I found it, it might be on Ao3, LiveJournal or Fanfiction . net. I remember this part where tony and steve where being interviewed/talking to the press and tony kisses steve and steve gets angry and tony thinks its because steve is homophobic.
I remembered steve telling tony that he had loved a man back in 1940's and tony saying something like. "Knowing you it was either the dullest guy or a bad boy." I've been looking for this fic for months now, I would be really grateful if can help me out.

Grrr. I'm really ticked off at myself right now. I started reading a really good story last night, finished it this morning about an hour ago, and somehow deleted it. I wasn't worried, thinking it was part of a series I had set up to save, but now I can't find it.

The whole team has been questioning Bucky about a lot of boxes that have been delivered to the tower for him to take somewhere. Bucky won't devulge any imformation as to what's in the boxes and where does he take them. He's been questioning Bruce about children's infectious diseases. Then early one morning Bucky wakes up Steve and takes him to a coffee shop (not Starbucks) and a toy shop. The barista, the bus driver, and the elderly woman who opens up the doll store seem to know Bucky and are friendly and familier with him. Bucky and Steve take two large boxes to a children's hospital, where the staff and the children all know Bucky and are happy to see him. One box contains stuffed Bucky Bears and the other has plush dolls made to look like each sick child there, except for the new kids and plus three kids that died since his last visit. One of the sick girls has here older brother, Brady, there with her. He's the boy who recognized Steve at the Smithsonian when he was incognito in the movie.

I know this has to ring a bell with someone. Even jus the title or author will be a great help.

I read this story a while ago and couldn't find it when I wanted to read it again. Takes place after the fall of Hydra in Winter Soldier. Kinda follows the movie in that Alexander Pierce was the main one in controlling WS/Bucky, but in this story their relationship is heavy Dom/sub. When Steve finds Bucky and brings him back to the tower, a confused Bucky assumes that Steve is to be his new Daddy. (Part of me is saying that there's a small chance that this Daddy figure may be Coulson, as an older man, but logic says he's looking to Steve, and Coulson isn't part of this story.) Steve is shocked and confused by Bucky's attempts to please his new Daddy and Bucky is confused and fearful over Steve's rejection, thinking he's going to be punished.

So I read this story ages ago and I can't seem to find it now... Captain America is arranged to be married to the Winter Soldier as a symbolic representation of the peace between America and Russia. Steve recognizes Bucky, but Bucky has no idea who either of them are and more or less behaves like a normal person.
I think Steve's a virgin, I remember he wasn't sure about whether he should consummate the marriage with Bucky. (He does, eventually)
Aaand that's about all I remember. I really want to read this again, if anyone knows what it is :)

I've already read 'Simple' by Osidiano (so good, please go read it). I think I've come across scenario this in other fics but I don't remember which ones. The angstier the better! Especially if Bucky sees 'Steve Rogers' as friend and Cap as foe and refuses to reconsile the two. Happy endings are appreciated!

Please no fics that pair Steve with someone who is not Bucky or vice versa. Mentions of canon other love interests is ok though. Gen fics are also fine :) Top!Bucky/Bottom!Steve is preferable to me if the fic contains sex.

It occured to me that I love both reading and writing fics where Steve gets into a truly righteous snit. Obviously most of those fics contain an element of protectiveness over Bucky (and I would love recs to include this!), but the protective Steve tag on AO3 isn't quite as specific as I'd prefer. I'm looking for fics where Steve gets justifyably angry (or not so justifyably, I'm not looking for Saint Steve, just angry Steve) and expresses it. It could be silent seething leading to broken punch bags, or graphic descriptions of fight scenes, just anything thing where Steve's canon anger issues are a big part of the story, or at least important enough to be a memorable scene.

I'm not particularly looking for dark!Steve, but Steve allowing his anger to take him to dark places is fine. No outright villain!Steve though, I'm looking for representations that feel close to canon. Any genre of fic is fine, long or short, gen or slash, but please no het pairings. I don't mind references to canon, but no fics that focus on Steve/female love interest in a relationship.

Steve/Bucky is my otp, so Stucky recs would be great, and I prefer top!Bucky but I'm not particularly bothered for this search, as I'm looking for more plot than smut.

Absolutely no Steve/Tony fics please, and I'd prefer that if anger is directed at Tony, that it's not a woobie!Tony fic where Tony can suddenly do no wrong yet Steve is written as a borderline abusive ass. Honest representations of human nature and flaws is what I'm after; no single character needs to be painted as perfect or unremitting evil. I just like fics where Steve gets his 'Hulk smash' on.

I thought I'd double-check whether or not a fic like this existed before I went and did something permanent like write it myself:

MCU canon setting, Sarah Rogers (and maybe Winifred Barnes?) is aware that Steve and Bucky are an item, even though they may be going to lengths to hide it from her. Her feelings on the subject would ideally be neutral-to-positive (her condemning it is, frankly, something I wouldn't read).

Anyone know of a fic like this?

I'm looking for a ficlet that was probably on tumblr, I'd originally thought somewhere like Imagine Steve Rogers although I can't find it on there.

The basic prompt/premise was the Steve is silent during sex, and is aware that sometimes his partners might like to hear noise/he hears general talk that implies this. When Bucky comes back, they become a couple and Steve try to practice making sex noises by himself so he can do the same during sex with him although when it actually happens it's all driven from his head with how it feels and he's his usual quiet self. Afterwards, Bucky tells him how it'd been almost overwhelming for him, from the sensory stimulus, and Steve thinks that maybe it was a good thing that he'd been quiet.

Anybody recognise this?

I have no idea if a fic like this exists, though I hope it does.

It occurs to me that as kids, if they were receiving any kind of religious education of any degree of thoroughness, that Steve and Bucky would've been familiar with the story of David and Goliath - and probably some of the other parts of David's story.

Basically, I'm hoping for a fic where Steve and Bucky over-identify, or over-identified, with David and Jonathan - and I don't mean platonically.

I know there's a passing reference to them doing this in "Barnes & the Brooklyn Irish", but it doesn't really go into detail about it, which is really what I'm looking for.

(Also, relatedly, if anyone knows of a fic where someone gets Steve to watch "Kings" and he breaks down about how the actor playing Jack Benjamin looks so eerily like young Bucky I think I might die.)

I was wondering if there are any stories where Steve finds Bucky as the Winter Soldier in different wyas than in the movie. Like the movie takes place the same way but the Winter Soldier was not part of it but while Steve is off destroying Hydra bases finds Bucky at one of them (either awake or in cryo-sleep). Or maybe Steve finds Bucky before the second Captain America movie, maybe during The Avengers movie.

Seriously. Going. CRAZY!!!! I've been search for the piece for the past month with no luck, so maybe you guys can help me.

What I remember
- it is post winter soldier
-Bucky/Steve are in a relationship
-they start becoming more physical and Bucky notices that sometimes Steve acts wired
Ex: - pretty sure at some point Bucky says "I love you" to Steve and Steve turns it into a joke saying "everybody love the guy with his hand around their dick
- Steve insist on them getting tested for STDs, even though bucks says the serum fixed that, and Steve saying its for him
-later on, Steve finally confesses to Bucky that pre-serum, he paid his portion of the rent by selling himself
-lots of comforting post-confession
-almost 100% that it was on ao3

I know this is a long and detailed post becaus to vividly remember this doc and don't know why I can't find it. Hopefully, one of you lovelies will know what I'm talking about. Thanks so much for saving my sanity!!!

Hey all, I'm really hoping someone can help with this fic as it's driving me crazy not being able to find it...

Ok so the fic I'm looking for is actually part of a Time travel/AU 'verse where Bucky from before the War and Winter Soldier Bucky switch places. The main story actually focuses on Captain America Steve and Bucky's relationship but I keep thinking about the 1st story that is told from Pre-serum Steve's pov as he helps the Winter Soldier and gets totally pissed off that someone has hurt his Bucky. Is this ringing any bells? I think I maybe read it on LJ - can't find it on AO3 at any rate. Any help would be much appreciated!

I think it was on Ao3, but thay is practically is all that I remember.
So, the fic was written from a third face. It is nowadays. A guy (may be Bucky's grandson), is telling a story about his parents at first, his problems, and all this ends up him hanging with his grandmother, who tells him all about her childhood or her own big family where her father in the early 30s, as far as I remember, after learning that her little brother was in love with Steve, made him out of the house and his family because their father was such a big dick. After returning of the cap back home in '00, she asks him (a grandson) to bring her to Steve for asking him to forgive them for that or some kind. And the grandson agrees. And there was a couple of their other relatives may be too, who also took this road trip with them and there was a happy reunion at the end of the story because by the time Steve found Bucky, they were together in their own house and all that young again.

Today I'm looking for Capsicoul fics where Phil struggles with issues of self worth in their relationship because in his eyes he doesn't deserve to be with Steve, as he's so much more better than Phil (braver, a hero and more attractive?). Happy ending with Steve putting Phil's fears to rest?

1) So I'm pretty sure that there are fics like this but I've had some trouble finding them. I'm looking for fics where Steve was either Bucky's submissive or bonded omega (or vice versa- Steve is Bucky's alpha/dominant?) before/during the war. This causes issues later on when they meet again, when Bucky's the Winter Soldier? Or any stories along those lines please (Dom/sub or alpha/omega)

2) I'm also looking for fics where Bucky and Steve were in a regular pre-established relationship before Steve got frozen. I mean there's got to be at least one right?

Ok, ok, ok. So I know there are stories like this but I can't seem to find any. I'm looking au fics based around Steve/Tony where one is unaware of the others secret identity? Like, their dating, but either Steve is unaware that Tony is Iron Man or Tony is unaware that Steve is Captain America?

He adopts a young boy because something happens with his mother...and a weird animal he rescues from a Hydra facility that is very, very smart...

I'm pretty new to the fandom and did a search on the rec page here but didn't find anything. I hope this is ok since Bucky isn't an avenger in the CA/WS movie world. I'm actually looking for some WS tortured! current Bucky fanfics..Graphic description doesn't bother me. Kindof like if WS recovered Bucky being kidnapped and was tortured for information/hydra/or sacrificing for teammates while the other avengers watch helplessly or perhaps they recovered recordings of the chair, ect. I usually see fics where the avengers see the tortured aftermath of Bucky, but I want to read fics that the avengers actually see Bucky being tortured instead of just hearing about it.I like gen or stucky. I've read a few fics where the Soldier was working for SHIELD/HYDRA and Steve got to know him pretty well through work. The specific fic I'm looking for had Steve and the Soldier starting to date and the Soldier getting his memory back right around CA:WS events.
Of course any other fic where Steve befriends the Winter Soldier whilst unaware of his true identity would be fantastic. Steve/Bucky is highly preferred.

This has been driving me crazy for weeks now, and I am desperately hoping someone can help.

I read a Steve/Bucky fic a while ago and I am sure it was on archiveofourown. In it, the Winter Soldier is sent off on a mission, I think, but manages to break out of his programming at least a little bit because, and here's where I am little unsure, either he sees two men getting married or hears about it becoming legal in some areas.

Any help at all in finding this fic would be greatly appreciated.

This fic has been found!

This fic is somewhere on AO3, and it is not tagged "sex pollen".

It involves Steve and Bucky being the only two people in New York not affected by some sort of aerosolized aphrodisiac. Bucky's just back from a mission, and they have to make their way from Brooklyn to Avengers Tower on foot. They don't have sex while the aphrodisiac is in effect, though they both want to, but Talk It Out later.

Other pairings include: Tony/Pepper/Bruce, Natasha/Clint/Maria Hill, and Jane Foster/Thor - Jane's actually the one who figures out the solution, since it wore off her earlier.

At one point, Tony hits on Steve and compares him to a nice car.

Does anyone happen to remember what fic this is?
