Hello! SO I just rewatched "Defenders" and now I have a hankering for stories post CW where the Defenders become friends with Tony. Team Cap reactions would be fun, but not mandatory. I just have a feeling that Tony and Jessica together would be a riot. I also think Matt would be rather protective; I can see him taking down Natasha and then walking away because he has a real job that doesn't involve him living off of someone else generosity.

Neither of those thoughts relate to specific stories, just that type of a "We get it. No, really, we actually do get it" friendship.

Dude are you forgetting that all of the Defenders are violating the Accords by their actions and would not appreciate Tony signing and then disregarding the Accords?

You cant violate something you havent signed (take accountsbility or retire, remember). And has Tony really disregarded the Accords? He went againat them once, technically, to help someone who he thought was a friend. But, he was still under the 36hour order to bring Cap and stuff in as far as Im aware. He didnt inform the council where he was going and thats the only thing he did wrong.

Also, Im pretty sure the OP is just looking for fic recs, not opinions. (Much like you were in that argument i saw a while ago. If you dont like it why do it to someone else?) I apologise OP, being a bit of a hyprocrite too by adding to this post but you know. I hope you find good fics OP! I remember reading a fic that included friendship between Tony and the Defenders, but i dont remember what it was called :( sorry

Interesting fact! In AoS we see Inhumans being made to sign the Accords if they wish to work under the new SHIELD, and those who don't want to work under SHIELD are "tagged", given tracking bracelets that detect when they use their powers as well as their location. And he DID disregard them by bringing in Peter (a minor, illegally across the world as Peter has no passport, to a battle with adults), and again to go to Siberia. Additionally, according to DVD commentary (dunno how much truck I give commentary but anyway) the 36hrs thing was a lie.

And yes, I know, which is why I apologised and offered what help I could, with a fic I knew of. I don't see why you felt a need to get involved? Especially as you don't even care to use your own face. Are you, perhaps, the Nonny who started an argument with me on one of my fic searches? In which case, really, darling, hypocrisy much?

I'm sorry, that was really abrupt of me. I can't actually think of any post-CACW fics that have Tony meeting any of the Defenders, though I can think of a pre-AOU one where the team encounters Matt and they're all under the misapprehension he is actually the devil? But you may have read that one, it was rather popular. As for anything else... hmm no. I've written a fic where Wanda encounters Luke, Jessica and Matt, but not so much Tony. Sorry I can't be more help!

Any luck finding anything? Because now I have a real desire to see stories with Tony and Jessica or Tony and Matt.

I read a couple really good ones you would probably love but I can't find them. I'm going to describe them the best I can so hopefully someone else may recognize them for you. I don't think they were tagged as Avengers/Defenders fics because they came out before The Defenders but they did come out after Luke Cage was introduced at least but not Iron Fist. Fair warning my memory sucks.

The first one I read is with the ex-avengers pardoned and Carol Danvers in charge of putting the team back together. They go to an island with one of Tony's vacation homes for the group exercises but Tony was exempted due to medical reasons which made Team Cap mad and Jessica was a good buddy throughout.

The second one I read was pre-DareDevil-S2, Tony contacts Matt, Jessica, and Luke about bolstering the Avengers ranks and they give their ideas on the Accords. Matt does a lot of listening in on the ex-Avengers when they're pardoned and was able to stop an attack on Tony.

The 3rd one I can't remember the most was a Tony&Jessica BFF fic. it was more of a Jessica Jones crossover rather than Defenders but there were mentions/cameos of the others.I think it was written before Luke Cage was released because the reason why Tony sought out Jessica was because her "real identity" and abilities were hot topics in the news pre-Civil War and thus she was directly affected by the Accords since people were calling her a vigilante hero despite her protests.
