Critically injured Tony

I know this is along the lines of a couple recent searches, but hopefully different enough. Does anyone know of a story where Steve injures Tony very badly at the end of Civil War? Like, paralysis, brain damage, something permanent? I guess I'm just counting Extremis out here. I'd really like ones where Steve and his team get to feel really guilty but then they actually take responsibility and try to redeem themselves.

I recently read that one and I like it. But I'm still looking for remorseful Steve who realizes he handled things badly over sociopath Steve who does not care. I don't know if that story exists, though.

There's "Left out in the Cold" by spacefucker. That one is a fixit - but only after Steve realizes what he's done. Tony is blinded by the Siberian cold, though he does invent some kind of neural network so he can see again. It has a sequel in the works too, "Warmth."

Thank you! I think I have read this one before but I enjoyed it again. It's hard to find stories where Steve actually has introspection and changes.

http://archiveofourown.org/works/10708806 this is a crossover with DC universe, but starts right after Siberia, in which Tony's lungs have been permanently compromised and has to use an oxygen tank and wheelchair for the rest of his life. Does not really have a remorseful Steve, but it is a full series that develops.
