He's with the team and they're trying to the whole recovery thing and they're investigating his arm only to find out he's had all kind of surgeries under Hydra, as his left arm is actually growing back.

I can't remember anymore, I'm not even sure it was finished. My guess would be that it's on A03, but my searches have been fruitless. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

It was Shell's series, yes. Thanks for the link; I recognized that story as I was reading it. And thanks for the other rec as well; I always thought it was an interesting idea and I'm glad to see morethan one person wrote about it.
