Tough Bucky?

I've read  a lot of Stucky in which Steve is the big awesome hero and Bucky is the poor damaged tortured soul and it's really something I like to read...

BUT: Sometimes I want to read the other way around!

So my question: Are there stories outthere in which Bucky aka Winter Soldier saves the day (and Steve)? In which he is strong and a little bit bad ass but still loves Steve and does anything for him?

Please tell me there are stories like this!

Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for as Steve is de-serumed, BUT: bad ass Winter Soldier Bucky saving Steve and saving the show. :) pull apart the dark by togina.

I am sure there are more if I think a bit longer.

There's "The Murder Ballads" on Ao3. I haven't read the entire fic, but after Steve's 'death' Bucky became a willing participant for HYDRA, and apparently before the war he did hits for the mafia. (That Steve never knew about.)

Infinite Coffee and Protection Detail Series has some BAMF Bucky in it, especially at the beginning of the first story and chapter 7 of Team-Building Exercises.

He is not as badass as the Murder Ballads but he is still pretty tough :)
