Loooong story recs

I'm going to be at sea for a couple of months and I'm stockpiling fic for on my ereader. Please recommend me some good looong stories?

- Prefer Gen or Het, Slash is okay if it shows the entire team and not just the pairing / is not all about 'they boink!' (I liked Semaphore even though I don't care for the pairing - the writing and the surrounding characters and events were good enough to make up for it)
- Well written AUs or anything else interesting totally welcome - if you think the writer 'sells it' then I'd love to look at it :-)
- I don't really do the whole 'Loki redemption/Loki is paired with an Avenger' genre
- Complete stories only please
- On AO3 or somewhere else I can download an epub format.

I'm trawling through the various Big Bang collections on AO3 - are there more Avengers specific ones apart from Avengers Reverse Big Bang and Marvel Big Bang? I've only been in this fandom for 2 months, so there's probably a lot less recent stories I haven't found yet.

There was also a Cap-Iron Man Big Bang back in October that produced a lot of very good, long stories. You might check those out.

Thanks, will check those out. And I forgot to add (will do that now) that I'm looking for complete stories only. By the time I'm back on land and will be able to look at the rest of the story I'll have long forgotten what a WIP is about :-)

shell's Long Range Reconnaissance verse (archiveofourown.org/series/20869) is really good if you don't mind comic book spoilers. i found it incredibly engaging and honest, and easy to read even though i didn't knew comic book canon. The while verse follows the relationship of Bucky and Steve, from friends to much more. All eight pieces are around 100,000 words.

<a href="archiveofourown.org/series/17418">Armed and Dangerous verse</a> Bucky is found by SHIELD. Tony wants a project, and they meet somewhere in the middle. It starts out as Tony/Bucky but progresses to include Steve.

<a href="archiveofourown.org/works/473497"> Acceptable Losses> M/M, M/M/M, M/F (Bruce/Tony, Bruce/Tony/Steve, +Pepper, and variations thereof.) Steve is at a loss with what to do with himself. He is a man out of time and a soldier with no orders. He receives an offer of companionship from two unlikely sources. Things go uphill our downhill depending on who you're asking. Its a great story dealing with poly and repression and internalized homophobia, with a slight touch of D/s, to help with the letting go.

Don't have many recs (aside from anything by scifigirl47 on AO3), but I think you'd have more luck finding long het stories on FFN than on AO3. If you want to download stories from fanfiction.net, you can use the creatively titled Fanfiction Downloader (http://fanfictiondownloader.net/webversion.php) to grab ePubs. Happy hunting!
