WWII era Steve/Bucky fic *FOUND*

Hello all!

I have exhausted my resources and turn to you for help in finding a Steve/Bucky fanfic. It took place in WWII while the Howling Commandos were a unit taking action across Europe against Hydra bases. The group is bunking down for the night and Steve/Bucky take a risk and have sex, not knowing that the others in their unit have bunked close and can hear them. It is clear that Steve and Bucky have an established relationship. People on the team report their relationship to the military higher ups. The rest of the story is dealing with homophobia and the military's reaction to Steve and Bucky's relationship - It is not received well.

I am mostly sure that I read it on Ao3 and that it was part of a series (or perhaps a really long story?).

Any help you can provide is welcome. It was a fantastic story and I highly recommend it.

It starts out with a 25k story set during the war, where Steve and Bucky have sex in an abandoned farmhouse because the Commandos were supposed to be sleeping in a barn nearby, but are instead in a shed attached to the house. There's two one shots set back then, and the author also wrote a 57k sequel about Steve and Bucky after CATWS.

It really is a good series, thank you for reminding me of it!

That is exactly it! Thank you so much! I don't' think I've ever read the one-shots set in the 'verse, so I am off to enjoy some amazing new (to me) fic.
