Looking for sci-fi. Pref Thor, Loki, Falcon, Hawkeye or any of the Young Avengers as main characters, but I'll take anything as I do enjoy the genre!

Dystopian, cyberpunk, thought police, overpopulation, society collapse, biological warfare, experimentation - anything like that. I suppose fics that delve more into cap 2 would fit some of this?

(I just finished watching Utopia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utopia_(UK_TV_series) which was perfect for me and what I want in a TV show, only for it to be cancelled. Made me crave more like it, so I hope something exists!)

I don't know of any sci fi Marvel fics (you might try searching on ao3 putting those words in as tags + the fandom tho, I doubt there's a ton) but re: Utopia, you ever seen Black Mirror? It's a sci fi anthology series and brilliant. It's streaming on Netflix. I haven't seen Utopia but in Black Mirror discussions it comes up as similar.

Yeah, I've seen Black Mirrior! I love it too.

You should really check out Utopia. They keep repeating 'There are no sides' in the show - and there really aren't. As a viewer, I found myself almost supporting the side that were against the protagonists for a lot of it.

That and the juxtaposition between the bright scenes and dark subject matter was great. Oh, and the humour is done excellently.

aw darn, I'm anxiously awaiting the day I can introduce someone to Black Mirror for the first time lol, it's so excellent.

but your post here reminded me to look into getting Utopia and you've sold me on it. :) I love themes of juxtaposition, it's so powerful when done right.

The Welsh lass has perfected the art of swearing too, so even if you weren't interested in anything else about it, I'd tell people to watch it just for that.

Here’s a couple of SF themed Loki-centric Marvel stories. I loved the first one. I have NOT read the second one, but it was recced by a friend and I plan to read it soon.

Summary: Clint's voice crackles to life over the two-way radio, dripping in pseudo-cheerfulness. "Today on The Everything Sucks Show: We're still running low on, well, just about everything. The weather forecast is a 90% chance of acid rain and nuclear fallout followed by a 50% chance of something else fucking awful by this evening and some nice nuclear winter after the sun goes down. In current events: a new contender has taken the number one slot on the ‘most likely to kill us in our sleep’ leaderboard and his name starts with ‘lo’ and ends with ‘ki.’ The reigning champion Natasha Romanoff is understandably furious about this development..." Tony glances over at Loki in the passenger seat, his long legs propped up on the dashboard and arms crossed across his chest as he looks out the window.
