slow/ disabled Loki

Hi guys, happy new year to everyone.

I'm looking for fics where Loki is either mentally disabled with a childlike mentality or he has been brain damaged and needs care. Open to avengers in the fics as well as Frigga and Odin (good or bad parenting).

Summary: Thor returns to Earth a month after the Chitauri invasion to keep his promises -- to see Jane again, and take her to see Asgard, even if the rainbow bridge is still undergoing repairs. Not that Jane is complaining about watching the repairs. But she wasn't expecting Loki to be haunting the palace library, even in psychiatric care; and Loki wasn't expecting to make friends with Thor's mortal girlfriend.

This is one of the most different “Loki redemption” stories I’ve ever read. Loki absolutely believes what he said to Thor in The Avengers – that Thor threw him off the Bifrost. The concept is, instead of punishment, Loki is put into magic suppressing bracelets and is given convincingly alien psychiatric care and treated with compassion. He’s allowed access to small portions of the palace and grounds, though most of it is off limits to him.

Thor has brought Jane to Asgard for an extended stay, and this is a non-explicit Thor/Jane story, though that is background plot. The foreground plot is Jane’s slowly-starting but eventually deep friendship with Loki. They initially bond over science and math, and because she is relatively objective about him and they have no past history he’s able to accept her presence though he can’t tolerate being around anyone else except his minders who follow him everywhere to make sure he doesn’t harm himself or others.

Highly recommended!

this last one "the high cost of mind control removal"
is about Loki who was being controlled during avengers and Odin removes the control but it leaves Loki with Brain damage the story is all about his recovery unfortunately it seems to be an abandoned wip but the 34 chapters that are here are wonderful
