In the middle of a fight, Tony "allows" Natasha to get hurt, by being out of position to save a civilian (a kid I think) instead. No one sees him saving the kid, they just think he was being Tony and not listening to orders. There's some meanness from the team, and Tony angst of course. And then somehow they find out and there the requisite comfort. This is probably on AO3, not sure of the 'verse, and is possibly a Steve/Tony fic (but might just be gen).
