avengers_searchI have remembered a little snippet from a story I read ages ago and cannot for the life of me remember what story that it. Maybe someone can help me 🤞
What I remember is that Steve Rogers kept sitting outside Stark Tower (I think) and was looking for support to overthrow or fight Tony. He is approached by a guy who is sympathetic to his plight and basically seduces him into opposing mutants. I think Tony had adopted one or two mutant kids (or aliens?) after a rescue mission. I am somewhat sure that this guy (maybe Garret from Shield/Hydra?) convinced him to attack the tower, which was then defended by a lot of women, I think the men had been drawn away. Maybe Storm was fighting, and Pepper may have been fighting in the Rescue suit. I think some harrowing scenes take place in that fight and Cap realizes that he has made a big mistake…
I know this is incredibly vague but maybe it rings a bell for someone? I would really appreciate any help!
