Clint is not well after the battle with finding out Phil is dead. He returns to his apt and weeks pass without him realizing it. Tony and I think Nat break into his place to take Clint to a briefing. Phil walks in Clint freaks the hell out takes of running and ends up drugged in hospital bed. He doesn't believe Phil is real and it takes weeks for the Avengers to convince him.
