The fic I remember is of Tony dying multiple times in Siberia. Somebody (T'Challa?) goes looking for him and finds alot of melted metal from all the times he died as he was trapped in the armour/didn't have enough energy left after to move and died over and over.

Ooh I forgot about this one, this is fab but not the one I'm looking for. The other one had him dying/flaming out dozens of times and melting everything around him. Off to re-read this series though ☺
