Steve and Tony find Loki as a slave on Asgard

I'm looking for a specific fic. After Avengers, Steve and Tony travel to Asgard, where they encounter a slave being beaten and discover it's Loki. Thor explains that any time someone helps him Loki's punished for it. He's also being starved, and at some point he gets stoned because Steve tried to help him. I think that last time I read, they were getting ready to help him escape to earth.

Omg I totally recognize this plot! There's one chapter where Thor asks Odin to be more merciful to Loki, and then Odin says that he already has been merciful by not changing Loki back to his frost giant form. Then Odin takes off the glamour and the guards are even worse to Loki once he looks like a frost giant again. Right? I'm pretty sure it was updated with a few more chapters with Loki on Earth. (I think the Avengers bring him to therapy. But, I hope we'll find it, so won't spoil anything for you!)

I've been searching around for it since I saw this post a few days ago, but I can't find it anywhere. It just came to me that the title might have been something like "Freedom is Just Another Word," but I can't remember the author. I'll keep looking!

I have been following this post! Hoping someone finds it. I only remember pieces of the plot. And my google-fu is the suck. I hope you or someone else can find it. I want to reread it again!

Y'all, I think I found it!! Here's the section that I recognized from the first chapter:

"This man needs help." He says. "He needs water."
Automatically, his eyes fall to the guard's belt, and finds there a water skein. He doesn't hesitate to step forward and grab the thing from him, ignoring the large man's indignant yelp of protest, stepping out of reach before the guard can grab it back and uncorking the cap, bringing it to his nose to make sure it in fact holds water and not wine or mead.
Satisfied, he begins to step around, to the bound man's front.
"My friend, please do not…" he hears Thor begin, but again he ignores the god, continuing in his task. "Steve Rogers, do _not_…"
That's as far as Thor's words reach before the captain finds himself stopped in his tracks, and he stares, unsure at first if what he sees is reality.
Shock follows, sitting heavy in his gut, and thoughtlessly, he takes a step forward.
"Jesus…" he mutters. "Jesus…"
"What?" Absently, he hears Tony's voice. "What is it? Is he dead or something. Don't tell me he's dead."
"Loki?" Steve breathes, his voice hardly above a whisper, taking another step forward. Suddenly, his legs feel weak, as though his knees may give out any moment.
"Where!?" Tony nearly shouts, whirling, but Steve hardly notices. His eyes remain riveted, horrified to the figure slumped before him on his knees.
It's Loki. There can be no doubt. Steve would never forget that face.

Yay! Whoever had the foresight to put all the FFN on archive.org was truly doing God's work. 😂🙏 It's a lifesaver with finding fics like this.
