I’m looking for any fics where a character is transformed into an inanimate object!  

…And also one particular fic on the subject that I can’t track down. I remember reading one where Tony and Loki were going to face down some creature/villain and Loki knew that Tony didn’t stand a chance, so he turned him into a rock to protect him. Might have been in a cave/tunnel? Might have been Tony/Loki?

Here are the fics I can think of with this trope:

Core Values, by AnonEhouse, has all the Avengers turned into apples

Blood From a Stone, by mia_ao3, has Loki transformed into a statue
