Tony Time Travel

Does anyone know the name of a Tony time travel fic where he returns to Afghanistan, later realises he should have carried on working with the military. I remember him being in a hospital bed surrounded by happy military men, he mentions one has a veiny schozz! Thanks for your help.

Do u remember the pairing? or no pairing? and the range of words? 5k, 10k or more? after/before infinity war or endgame? what (approximately) year? ao3/ffn? i want to try finding it too hehe

I think it was either gen or Pepper, I tend to read 30000+ words, pretty certain it was ao3. Possibly endgame where instead of dying he goes back. The main thing I remember is that he realises let down military by withdrawing. Thanks for looking!!

I just remembered when he was surrounded by generals they were disappointed re Ironman armour but he then offered medical braces/prosthetics which they jumped at

Heyy, I know this is really, really, really late, but if you haven't found the fic yet, "Veni, Vidi, Amavi" might be it. I don't think there was a scene with him in a hospital bed beside a bunch of military guys, but I'm fairly certain that there was a moment with the prosthetics and regret for not working with the military first time around.

I’m pretty sure this is the one you mean. Tony’s thoughts on it were... Merchant of Death: Yes, Iron Man: Not Recommended? Nevermind. He’ll make it up as he goes along. It’s still a WIP, but it’s a good read.
