Can anyone recommend more stories like this where one rejects their "destined soulmate." I've never cared for the trope. Any pairing will do I'm not too particular except for Stony endgame. Ive never been into that pairing. But Tony or Steve with anyone else is fine. My fave characters are Tony, Loki, Strange, Star Lord, Bruce, and Spider man.

There was a fic which was titled "Tony Stark defies destiny's will", or something very similar to that. It was multichaptered, possibly there was a sequel? Not sure. Look for it on ao3. Tony discovers they're soulmates in the middle of CW, after hearing Steve singing hymns at Peggy's funeral. After dust settled, he called Steve in Wakanda and sung a variation of "fuck you very much" song, to let Steve know and reject him in one gesture. (Steve doesn't take the hint and tries to force the issue - I'm not sure how that ended, or if it was ever completed).

There was another very short one where Tony's soulmark disappeared from his wrist while he lied in Syberia after the fight, and he texted Steve a pic of his bare wrist, but I can't seem to find it now.
