I recall a story where the Avengers acknowledge how Loki's skills--misdirection, not standing still, magic used to great effect--make him a terribly effective fighter/villain. Loki is surprised because he is scorned in Asgard for the exact same reasons. I don't recall what Thor's reaction was. Any ideas?
