Hi. I'm looking for a fic with Omega!Tony and Alpha!Steve.

It starts with Tony goofing around with Clint, Thor (?), and maybe with the other avengers. I remember Steve seeing that and feeling appalled by the way Tony is acting. I think he felt that Tony should've acted more withdrawn because of his status.

And Steve believed that as an alpha, he had a duty to 'teach' Tony how to be better. So he basically forced Tony to complete this ritual thingy where he had to stay in a position.

In the end, Tony and the other avengers had a talk with Steve and told him that the world's more progressive now and omega's aren't expected to act the way they did in the past, etc, etc.

I've read and enjoyed this fic several times but I am always so frustrated that Steve gets no punishment for rape.

Haven't read it (does not seem like my kind of story -> I'm more of a 'team Tony' and 'Steve gets his just desert/consequences' than anything else).. but to be honest it does seem like its something that could happen in canon.. unfortunately (that Rogers gets off with a slap on the wrist for severe crimes).

Just think about it; Tony Stark is supposedly a 'redemptive hero'. even though he has actually accepted the responsibilities for his actions and choices (and even accepted responsibility for more than he should) and is working on things in general.

SPOILER ALERT I guess..
On the other hand you have Steve Rogers who's supposedly the 'perfect hero.. Who not only hid the truth of his friend Howard and his wife's murder from their son for years.. but also took advantage of the trust their son had in him to use the resources Tony Stark allowed him access to to search for their murderer without Tony's knowledge. .. And who denied their friendship and almost murdered him during the 'civil war' AKA the 'protect Bucky at all costs' movie.

.. Would not be surprised if he's allowed back on the team (or similar) with a mere slap on the wrist.. in canon. And that Tony's the one having to accept responsibility for a lot of it sooner or later for whatever idiotic reason.

...why, why did you go looking for this?
I was happy not remembering it existed.

Ok, as a person who was put off by the tags and summary alone, but read the fic anyway, because it came recommended (by a person I don't talk to anymore) and regretted it immensely, I feel the need to attach MASSIVE TRIGGER WARNING for anyone who might want to read this fic out of curiosity.

I found this fic revolting. A better part of it is a graphic depiction of brutal (both physically and emotionally brutal) rape, told entirely from the point of view of the rapist, and sympathetic to the rapist, while completely indifferent to the victim.
The victim is beaten up, forced to submit to the rapist, debased, humiliated and dehumanized, but this is never mentioned or acknowledged. We are supposed to ignore the horrid ordeal the victim is going through, and instead feel bad for the poor rapist, who is so very distressed and hurt by the mere thought that anyone would think him capable of raping anyone. He would NEVER! Sure, the rapist has kidnapped the victim, beat them up and forced them into a sexual situation, but it is all for the victim's own good! The victim is uppity and not conforming to the gender norms the rapist considers proper, therefore the victim must learn their place and stop thinking they have a right to have their own opinion or agency.
The rapist feels fully justified in taking this 'burden' on himself, because the victim, by virtue of being a person of 'lesser' gender working with the 'superior gendered' rapist automatically becomes the rapist's property. Obviously.
After the rape, the rapist oh so very gently cleans up the catatonic victim, spouting such soothing phrases like "you're such a good little fucktoy, I'm so happy and proud that you finally accepted that you are nothing but a fucktoy, you did so well taking the beating and letting me smear my semen all over you." (Paraphrased, but that's the gist of it).

As I read it I kept waiting for someone to come to the victim's rescue, or come in after the fact to beat up that revolting bastard and cut his dick off, or at the VERY LEAST stick him in a cell for a few years, but nope.

After the rest of the team realizes what happened, they get angry... for about five minutes. There are no consequences for the rapist whatsoever. He's not put on trial, he's not imprisoned, he's not removed from command, the other people of 'lesser' gender who work with him are not made aware of the fact that he might want to 'put them in their place' if he doesn't like the way they live their lives.
All that happens is that the team says, 'tut tut, you've been a bad boy, now never do that again' , and that's the end of it. Even the victim, still covered in bruises, comes up to the rapist and says, "yep, you did bad, but you're a GOOD person, you have NO reason to feel bad, I'm totes OK with everything you did to me, let's spend some more time together".

It's been years, and I still get nauseous when I'm reminded of this piece of rape apologist writing.

The thing about a search group is that there's no limit on what kind of story/stories people can search for or want to read. Essentially the fact that you did not enjoy the story (and even found it a bit traumatizing and disgusting) is irrelevant because this is a search community and not a 'recommendation'
community (where such a comment could and likely would have been useful). Essentially your personal opinion and too graphic and spoilery reply (do remember that this group has no restriction on age when it comes to membership or access) is pointless as it gives neither help to the one searching, nor recs or other that would have been helpful.Basically - please delete your reply and refrain from giving such personal opinion/spoilers in a search group.. or at most follow anniestella's example (another reply) and be as short and concise and nongraphic as possible.

Sometimes you just wish you really could bleach your brain. I've read a couple stories like that, the ones that despite being well written and edited, are so dark that it effects you viscerally in a negative way. Yet another can read the same story and not be impacted at all...

Thank you for giving me such a clear warning of what to expect from that fic, instead of leaving me to run into it unexpectedly.

Maybe...

I've read this fic once and I am not a fan of it but maybe the author wrote it this way on purpose. Maybe it's written as this dark, appaling, rape-apologist piece to disgust us, so people go, "Oh my god, this is awful. Why isn't anyone helping him? Why aren't there any consequences?"

That said, I could be completely off. As mentioned, I read it once and it has been a while. This is just what I think about some texts like this.

When this fic was first published it lacked the non-con tag, and the author only added it under pressure and with much eyerolling.
Also in the comments they speculated that maybe Tony was so OOC-ly mellow at the end because the raped actually *worked*, and the author wished they thought of it earlier and included it.
So... I rather think the author doesn't see anything problematic in their work, as opposed to being purposefully dark and provoking.

Thank you for responding. As mentioned, I am not a fan of this fic and I didn't want to read it again to see if my speculation was correct. In addition, I didn't know any of the backfround information (i.e. the author not originally having the non-con tag). Thank you for the informative and polite response.
