Hey guys I was wondering if I could get a little help. I remember reading a fic a while back I think on AO3. It was Stony. Steve owned a coffee shop and had custody of Peter. Tony comes in from time to time, usually hungover, and Steve generally doesn't like him. Eventually they move past it. I'm pretty sure it was a nonpowered AU as well. I just read the "Kidnapping is a Bad Thing, Tony" series, and LOVED the Harley-and-Tony interaction. Can anyone recommend more fic that concentrates on them having a strong relationship, Tony taking Harley under his wing, family feels, maybe some protectiveness (from either or both).

If those are sparse, some good Tony-and-Peter Parker mentor/mentee family fic would also be welcome. I'm not overly familiar with comic verse though, so anything that strictly requires cannon knowledge is out.

All ratings, warnings and slash are ok, though if het is included it shouldn't be the focus.

I'm looking for a couple things, all Tony-centric.

1. Young!Tony. I've looked at the previous posts, read AON and a few others. Now I'm looking for more lovely whumpy goodness. :) Raise differently AUs (kidnapping, red room, Loki, whatever), child abuse, team-meet-as-kids fic, deaging, anything along those lines. I wouldn't mind some gen team loving either. Superfamily with little Tony is always fun.

2. Platonic Tony and Natasha fics. I'm not interested in anything romantic, but anything with them developing a friendship, supporting each other, protectiveness, etc, all good.

3. Tony/Clint slash fic recs. It's such a tiny pairing, and I'm having trouble finding anything aside from the Dodgy Chinese and Only Different In The Details. Barring that, gen concentrating on their friendship would be good as well.

No restrictions on warnings or ratings, though if the fic has het it shouldn't be the focus.

Again, I am looking for some story recommendations. I just read the "Magnetic" Series by boombangbing and now I am craving all the stories about how Tony, Rhodey and Pepper meet. I would love to see more about how Pepper first becomes Tony's assistant or all the adventures of Rhodey and Tony at MIT. If you know about any friendship!fics between Rhodey and Pepper, that would be awesome. Give me all the shenanigans they get up to while they're still young. If there is a twosome/threesome involved, no problem. =) But I would really like to read somehing focussing on them as friends.

I have no idea where I read this fic, but I'm desperate to read it again. In the fic, Tony was doing nice things/hanging out with Clint, and Clint took this to mean he should have sex with Tony, either to keep him around or to pay him back. Tony sees this behaviour and recognizes his own responses in it, in that he did the same thing when he and Rhodey became friends.

I don't know how long the fic was, or even what the pairings were, sorry.

i'm looking for one specific fic and one general rec, but along the same lines.

i don't remember much about the specific fic but it basically had this one line where tony was trying to explain to steve that ronald reagan, who'd apparently been an actor, had gone on to become president of the united states. and steve's said (i'm pretty sure this was it, word for word), "everytime you lie, a kitten dies" and it was hilarious because he couldn't believe why that had happened. i don't remember much else but this is driving me crazy.

along the same lines i'm looking for general recs in which either the central theme, or one of the themes, is teaching steve about the future. i'd prefer fics in which steve is a trooper, preferably not a 'relic' at all. confused, yes, but perfectly willing to keep calm and carry on, where he just rolls with the punches. anything would be good, though, and i'm pretty much fine with any slash pairing or gen.

I'd rather like to see one where Jane gets all big sisterly with her, or where Thor, Jane and shelving are all protective of her (or any of the avengers really). Because she's the youngest. Or she gets kidnapped or whatever. I just love Darcy!

Because I just watched ironman 3 and the scene at the end just killed me (you know, the one after the credits) because Bruce stays, he stays and he's Tony's friend and Tony tells him things and doesn't get all annoyed or angsty when Bruce fell asleep during the 'talk'.

So I need some Bruce and Tony fics, friendship, slash whatever (though I do like Tony/pepper, so threesomes work too). Just anything about how Bruce stayed and how they are friends and everything! Please!

I'm looking for a fic I read a while back on AO3, where Coulson came back to work after a couple months recovering and is stunned when everyone reacts violently/emotionally. Turns out, he was misplaced some how, and everyone's thought he was dead, but he didn't know. Anyone? Payment in cookies is available.

The first fic I read several month ago, when I first watched all the movies and then started reading the fic. Bruce Hulked out at the Tower, and while everyone else was a little freaked out, Tony and Hulk went out onto the roof to watch either the sun set or rise. They were sitting on the edge of the roof with their feet dangling.

The other story I never read, but read the summary, and I thought I had marked it, but obviously didn't since I can't find it in my bookmarks.

The description on A03 was Tony and Steve had been captured and were being held in a cave, I think, and Steve was the injured one, and Tony was the BAMF/strong/supportive one during the kidnapping.

I appreciate the help in finding these stories.

I am looking for a particular fic. I don't remember exactly what the pairing is but there is one part that really stuck with me.

Tony talks about how people have been trying to kidnap or assassinate him for years. Natasha says that she was hired to take out Tony sometime before Afghanistan but she didn't do it. she got close to him by attending a party he was hosting and some guy kept hitting on her and was about to be more forceful about it. Tony saw what was going on and stopped the guy. When Natasha tells Tony about this, he goes but you looked like you were a minor.

Natasha says that she told her superiors that Tony's security was too good and he could not be successfully killed. Tony points out that Natasha's reputation as Black Widow must have taken a hit. She said that her reputation was big enough to take a hit. Tony says that Natasha protected him from further attacks because if the Black Widow couldn't get to Tony then others were less likely to even try.

Clint teases Natasha that she likes Tony.

Anybody know which fic I am talking about?

I'm looking for a story that's got several parts, but begins with Coulson trying to figure out how to make the team bond and get past their various hang-ups about each other (like Natasha being scared of the Hulk, or Steve and Tony fighting with each other). I can't remember why exactly, but they end up sort of play-acting that the Avengers are kids and Coulson's their... uncle? Babysitter? Something like that. I think Clint and Natasha get into it first, and maybe Steve is that last one; they're all different ages, and I think Steve is a teenager.

I'm fairly sure it's gen, and an AO3 in several parts. I think it's the same story where the author has a lot of end notes talking in more detail about stuff included in the stories - for example, one story had Bruce giving Clint a massage after he pulled something in his shoulders, and the end notes talk a bit more about some of the terminology around massage.

Much love to anyone who can track this down for me - I don't even know what to start searching under, sadly.

I remember it was a clint/coulson fic, but they had a really bad introduction because coulson thought clint was tony's hooker, and clint was super offended, and tony kinda backed him up.

Everyone has been so helpful finding stories for me and I hope you guys can help me one more time. I don't remember much about it, but I think Clint was sick when Nat and Bruce had to go to some conference or something. They left the others in charge of taking care of Clint. They missed the team and ended up coming home early. To find everyone else also sick cuddling in bed. I don't know if it was OT6 or just one big happy family. Hopefully so wine knows what I'm talking about lol

1. Steve has a bad reaction waking up to see that it's snowing outside; shivering really badly, etc. PTSD symptoms triggered by the cold, winter weather. Possibly Jarvis calls it to Tony's attention, Tony comes to Steve's aide. Steve/Tony slash

2. I remember that it was one of those Steve having trouble adjusting fic. He has good days and bad days. I remember after he has a bad day and the Avengers have a bad day, he doesn't want to be around them because he doesn't want to drag them down (he shouts at them, specific Tony, who probably takes it the wrong way/personally). Then he trashes his apartment and Bruce comes by and cleans up the glass and checks up on him. I think it might have been Steve/Tony, but I can't be sure, and if it was it was still pre-relationship/slow build (in the chapters I've read). Fairly certain that it's a wip, and not complete.

3. The scene that stands out to me is: the Avengers (plus Fury), have gathered for a meeting/debrief? and there is some tension/back-and-forth/comments between Steve and Tony which Steve reacts strongly to, stunning everyone when he gets up asks Natasha for the notes (which she silently agrees to do for him) and leaves before the meeting/debrief ends/possibly before it starts. I don't remember if it was shippy or not.

Okay, so I probably have this saved but I have a new ereader, and seriously! Kobo Mini is awful for keeping track of my stories. I can't tell what's what and have to create bloody SHELVES for each series, which then aren't in the right order and,.... GGRRRRR... Anywho.

I know I have this story somewhere. After the battle, Tony invites everyone to live at his place but only Clint and Bruce take him up on the offer. So they become friends. Then the others move in and I remember a scene where Natasha and Steve are outside and she says something like, "I guess we missed a lot by not moving in sooner"... or something like that. Vague I know but. Oh and I am 99.999 % sure it is on AO3.

Please, Please help because its driving me bonkers with a side order of nuts.

He is able to talk and respond which surprises others. He says that Tony is his favorite of the others. Tony was very happy about that part.

Hey Everyone! I'm looking for two fics (and associated recs) today, and I'm losing my mind trying to find them! I hope you can help!

1) The first fic is one where Steve and Tony are together, and they have a child. I can't remember whether it was mpreg or whether the kid was adopted, or whether it was Peter Parker. I think the kid was quite young. And somehow, Howard Stark comes into the future, or is reanimated or whatever. He's basically a dick, but only to Tony. The thing that stands out the most is the homophobia though, I remember him telling Tony something like "You're not good enough for Steve" or something. And I remember a scene in which Howard is yelling at Tony and the kid, and Tony yells back because no one offends his child. And then Steve walks in and thinks Tony's misbehaving and tells him off, in front of everyone, as if he's the one to blame. I remember the kid (maybe?) asking Tony if daddy didn't love them anymore. I'm pretty sure it was resolved in the end. Anyone know which fic I'm on about?
--> In related requests, any recs for fics where the team/steve find out about just exactly how massive a bag of dicks Howard Stark was. I don't mind if there's time travelling, or if it's just videos or what, as long as Tony's validated. Naturally, I'd like if Tony wasn't a woobie, but sometimes I guess it's unavoidable.

2) The second fic is much darker than the first. The fic revolved around a kidnapping. In the sense that Tony'd been nabbed by someone and he fought his way out of it because he didn't expect anyone would care. The team noticed he was missing but when they asked him where he'd been, he brushed it off as having been on holiday or something. Maybe Steve scolded him for it? They found out that he'd been kidnapped in the end though, and that he was medicating himself and taking care of his own injuries and everyone was horrified. I remember that later in the fic it came out that Tony had some serious illness which had required him to recuperate somewhere out of New York, and that while he'd been healing, he'd built and designed Jarvis. There was also some sort of code-word between Tony, Happy and Jarvis, where they used it to point out something important, in front of the rest of the team. I remember that Jarvis mentioned he didn't trust Rhodey, even though Tony had forgiven him, because he'd never forget the suit stealing incident. I remember it being heart-breaking, and very well written. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about!
--> Are there any fics in which Tony is more cautious, and more serious than he's portrayed in fandom? Like fics where everyone who spends any time with him can tell that his TV personna is a personality only, and that he doesn't talk when he doesn't need to, and doesn't spend any time with the people he doesn't need to see, and that he's actually just working all the time. Any fic in which people genuinely respect Tony, and I'm not just talking about the Team. Like other people. His board, his business partners, people who work for him, because he's a good boss. They work hard and he takes care of them. Am I making sense?

Hello Everyone!

Here's the description of the fic I'm looking for:

Tony as Iron Man goes off on a special mission for Fury. He thinks he can handle it alone. He sneaks out of the tower before the team breakfast. The team, when they find he’s missing, rescues him. He’s nearly dead. He’s doesn’t give away any secrets and he’s basically ready to die. He’s done his duty and kept his team, his family safe. Clint finds him first and tries to tend to some wounds. The rest of the team show up and carry him out of his cell. He’s in a coma for a week or so then he sleeps pretty much round the clock. There is always a member of the team with him he’s not fully awake or thinking clearly. Tony wakes up to Natasha’s quiet crying. Thor is there when he starts having bad dreams and cradles him till he calms down. Another time the Hulk is actually there and it freaks Tony the f**K out until he realizes it’s Hulk cradling him. Everyone, even Coulson, watches over him till he wakes up. When Tony can move on his own, he goes to find Clint. For some reason Clint’s freaking out. Coulson explains that Clint was the one who found him first and saw all his wounds/.injuries. Tony slowly finds a freaked out Clint perched up on top of a vending machine.

I don’t think it was slash. I do think it was team as family. I remember a note from the author say it might be seen as a second part to a story about the team breakfast with cuddles becoming an important thing in the Avengers lives.

After Tony’s recuperation, when another mission comes up and Fury requests Tony, Everyone else flatly refuses to let him go. Tony is both harmed and miffed by this.

I had this fic for quite a while until I decided to do some quick file-cleanup. Cleaning up your SD cards and flash drives on 4 hours sleep is NOT the thing to do!

I’ve done some searching and it’s not “Containment” by D. I have that fic and it’s wonderful. It’s very similar but not the one I’m looking for.

It's a one-shot, not very long either.
Basically what happens in it is that Tony has blown up his lab and the fire alarm goes off. The Sprinkler system puts the fire out and Tony is injured. He wakes to the team gathering around him and forcing him to go to the hospital and promising to take care of him and stuff.

I read it months ago but haven't been able to find it again. I know it was on A03.
