looking for ultimates fic

i keep loosing fics right after i read them oops

ANYWAYS heres what i know:

-its set in the ultimates verse

-its steve/tony

-it includes the adoption of a child

from what i remember, the ultimates find a place where i THINK the red skull have been experimenting on children with steves blood, trying to turn them into super soldiers. all of the children except one have died, and the child latches onto tony and he ends up keeping her, and then he and steve get together at some point during the fic.

Hi! So I hope I'm doing this right. I also hope I'm not blending two fics together in my mind :/

I'm looking for a fic where Steve and Sam are on the run (set after CA:CW I think??) from the government, and they end up in I think Mexcio after a mission from Fury? The one thing that I remember very clearly is Steve getting shot, they're stumbling through a desert, they have to sneak through a border city and eventually make it across the border while Steve is wounded. I think the reason was because they were trying to get Sam home to see his mother before Christmas or something
