Tony and his Bots- Turned off?

Hey guys. So I'm trying to find this fic I once read but am a little fuzzy on the details. What I do remember is that Tony was either in a relationship with Steve or Steve was very present in Tony's life. I think they had to go into hiding or something, and Steve either turned off or destroyed U/Butterfingers/Dummy/Jarvis because he thought Tony was distracted or would use them to draw attention, etc. He didn't understand that they were like children to Tony and Tony couldn't make him understand. I think the end is someone like Pepper or Rhodey or Fury or Phil comes and asks after them and Tony breaks down crying because they were his children and Steve won't let him fix them/turn them on, and cue Steve getting his butt/ego handed to him, stuff getting fixed, and Tony having even more trust issues.

Does this sound familiar to anyone or did I just make this up in a dream? If it is not a fic, someone needs to please write this. Also, I feel like this potentially could be a crossover(?) in which I think Tony is still the same, but "Steve" might be an alpha male character from a different book/movie/show/etc. Help me please!
