Hi all,

I throw myself in your mercy again as I can't find a link.

It's a fic where the Winter Soldier gets in the way of magic aimed at Steve and ends up splitting into Winter Soldier and pre-Azzano Bucky. Bucky ends up helping WS get sorted and they turn themselves in to get back to Steve, who helps them escape from SHIELD. I can't remember the title and it's driving me nuts!

(I originally came across it via a shorter pornier fic that used the idea of James/Steve/Bucky from the original one. I think it was part of a series of prompt fills, maybe? I can't remember the title of this one, either.)

Specific fic search - woman behind the winter soldier?

This might be a long shot, but I really want to read this story again and I can not find it anywhere.

It spanned the time the Winter Soldier was in Russia, though his main trainer/handler was actually a woman (who eventually married Lukin, if I'm remembering properly). She had frostbite scars on her face from doing sniper work in the winter, and Bucky grew to be both dependent and unfailingly loyal to her. There's a scene toward the end where they stroll arm and arm through a public park in order to meet Alexander Pierce, and she brags to him about having such a deadly weapon under her thumb.

Unfortunately, the name of the character escapes me, as does the title and author of the fic. Can someone hopefully point me in the right direction?
