Sick Tony fic - FOUND!

sorry guys, i lost another one!

it's a fic in which tony stark need some sort of special medication because of his arc reactor, and he gets it from phil. the trouble starts when phil goes on holiday (with clint???) and assigns stuff to another agent, who gets uppity and tries to cost cut so he'll get promoted. and he decides to cut costs on tony's medication.

and tony, naturally gets very sick. i remember that he had to go to some event and he told everyone he couldn't go, but cap got pissy and insisted, because he'd promised or something. so he goes and gets infected because of all the exposure to the crowd or something.

and when phil finally gets back he rips everyone a new as*hole for being so clueless about stuff, asking if they hadn't noticed his strange behaviour at the party and stuff. i remember clint had known about it, and he was disappointed with natasha for having messed up? or something?

*gets on knees*

please help? i've been trawling the interweb for forty minutes and i think i'm going crazy.

Looking for liberal Steve fic(s)

I read through a bunch of avengers fic last year, and I remember one in particular where Steve corrects a conservative politician on television who assumes Steve shares his vales, when in fact, due to his upbringing, Steve is very liberal. I can't FIND it! I'm looking for that, or any like it.

There was also a fic where Steve outs himself as either gay or bi by accident on television, and I think it ends with Steve/Tony. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I'm looking for a fic where Iron Man is not seen as a good guy.
I think the Black Widow never worked for SHIELD, she's sent to kill Tony, but he and JARVIS already know and he convinces her to work for him.
They end up saving the day at the Battle of New York.
I think the title had something to do with 'burn the world to ash' - something like that.

So, I forgot the number of times I've read this series but for some reason, I always forget the title of the series. That's why I'm here. I'm looking for the series where it started off with Steve going to the store to buy stuff but came across a protest where the anti-gay and pro-gay marriage factions were going against each other. There were two young men, a couple, who were later recruited by SHIELD along with Darcy and another young man. They were like the envy of SHIELD. The rest of the series is their story within and with the Avengers. There were other stories by other authors using the same characters. I'm really hoping someone could help me find this story. Thanks ever so much in advance! :)
