Wanted: Fic recs where Loki takes over earth

I'm looking for stories where Loki manages to take over earth, either AU's where his chitauri invasion succeeds or where he manages it in some other way later.

I'd love to read something where he manages a takeover in a subtle, long-con plan kind of way where he inserts himself into human politics and over the course of several human generations manages to become the most powerful man in the world or something, maybe ends up able to make them make him king. If this doesn't exist, someone should write it.

I'd prefer no non-cannon pairing stories, or at least no stories where romance is a large part of the story, but I'm not sure how picky I can actually be in this regard as I'm not sure how many stories like this exist at all!

I can't think of an exact match to what you're looking for, but I can think of a fic that partially qualifies: ‘Agent Loki: International Man of Mayhem’ series by dee at http://archiveofourown.org/series/19680. Several parts are gen and the rest are het.

Could you specify what you mean by 'no non-canon pairing stories'? Canonically (MCU anyway) Loki hasn't been paired with anyone.

Yeah I'm not entirely sure what I meant by that. I'm just trying to avoid stories with much romance at all, between anyone. And I guess I should make clear that what I'm looking for doesn't necessarily have to be Loki centric. It could be written from anyone's perspective.

unfortunately the GEN thing might be problematic - every other Loki wins fics Ive found thus far is heavily and directly focused on one ship or another. Loki ships like hotcakes!

Wanting to read only gen is pretty problematic in any fandom. People just love pairing up characters with each other all the time, and I like reading about pairings in other fandoms, so I have no idea why with Avengers I just don't.
