Death of Captain America

Hey there,
new to this and already hooked *grin*

Now I'm curious: Are there any stories that are like the comic "The death of Captain America"?
I mean stories in which everyone thinks Steve is dead and then Bucky takes over just to find Steve alive again?
I would love to read something like this!

And where do you find all those amazing stories?
I'm trying to find my way through Archive of our own and Fanfiction.net but it's difficult.

Tags are your best friend on AO3... and primarily why I only read there now, unless I can get linked to fics elsewhere through rec lists/fic searches/authors I know I like/etc.

I find a fic I like, read everything by that author, and then go through that author's bookmarks under the assumption that s/he likes the same things I like.
