Team Development

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of fics that show the Avengers developing in to a team/close friends/family. I love the ones by Qweb on fanfiction and also Dogstar-Black's Protective Reasoning series and I'm hoping people know other fics like this I can read.
I don't mind how long or short they are but I would prefer if they were gen or canon pairings if possible though I don't mind some slash as long as its not the main point of the fic.

Oh and a quick second request, if anyone knows any protective Rhodey fics or fics concerning Bruce/Betty pairing I would love to read those as well

Tempting, just to hear the reaction on the other end, but Bad Plan. For one thing, she's not sure the Pentagon knows jack squat about... well, anything. It seems expedient to take a different approach.

I can't think of any good fics for your other request (OK, maaybe Domenika Marzione's Freezer Burn (http://archiveofourown.org/works/457359), I don't remember it that well) but if you want there's a great story about Natasha and Clint where they slowly go from virtual strangers (one of them with huge trust issues) assigned to work together to close friends and one of the best strike teams SHIELD has.

Team as close friends/family is one of my favorites! I'm on my phone so I can't get the links but these are all on AO3:
Damaged Defenders, Ring Around the Roses (AU), the AWESOME series by Scifigirl called In Which Tony Stark Builds Himself Some Friends (But His Family Was Assigned by Nick Fury), the fantastic 'Love is for Children' series, and I know there is more but I will have to look.
