Steve escaping from Fury

Hi! I am new here and interested in seeing if a certain type of story has been written. I would be interested if there are any stories where Steve breaks out of his "1945 room" and escapes Fury/SHIELD. Or any story where he is found/defrosted another way. I would prefer gen for this, but if you recommend a slash story please just let me know. Thanks so much!

I have read a few short stories where iced!Steve was fund by Loki or a crossover character, but I can't find them right now. There are also fics where Steve wasn't frozen at all and lived through the years or where Bucky was defrosted first. Those are all slash though. Let me know if you want links and I'll dig them up.

Thanks! The first few chapters have been interesting - I do love au's. I think I would be interested in the ones where Bucky was defrosted first. And the ones where someone else finds him first -except for Loki. He's really not my favorite character and I'm sure I wouldn't care for a Loki/Steve story. Thanks for your help!

I think part of the dynamic I would like in the story is Steve being lost and confused, but still the strong, brave super-soldier we all know and love. Thanks!
