Disabled Loki
Hi!
I hope you can help me with some recs:
1) Blind / Mute Loki (are there any stories out there besides The River is Full of Lost Sharks)
2) Any stories where Loki is quiet and calm, like he was in the first part of Thor 1.
I don't care about the pairing, I hope you guys can help me.

I'm relatively new to the fandom but I've read a lot of fic. But there's so much out there! Here is a list of four fics, one of which I've read, one of which I'm reading now, and two more that I've subscribed to and plan to read as soon as I can.
Blind Loki: I have not read either of these stories yet. Both are long WIPs and both are currently being updated.
Half Step Behind by Aconitine
Escaping Asgard and the horrors dealt there is no easy task, and doing so comes at a price. Loki falls to Earth broken and blinded, rendered helpless in a city he can neither see nor begin to understand, with enemies on all sides.

Let me see you anew by Horns of Mischief (Rinelin)
WIP – Thor brings blind tortured Loki to Avengers tower.

Mute Loki: There are quite a number of stories about temporarily mute Loki because of the myth where Loki’s lips are sewn shut.
I’m in the middle of reading one of them now:
Whipstitch by kaasknot (het, Loki/Sigyn; *great* Asgardian worldbuilding; Loki is mute for a good portion of the story)

Mute Loki - *not* because of lip-sewing:
a history of things unsaid by circa1220bce
This is a very powerful story – I very much enjoyed it.

Summary: The Kings and Princes of Jötunheimr gain immortality and a ruthlessness unmatched by any other by having their hearts consigned to the Casket of Ancient Winters. Odin, thanks to the Well of Mímir, knew such a ceremony would leave the Casket vulnerable for the taking. Odin brought the forces of Asgard to Jötunheimr on the day Loki's heart was to be sealed away, disrupting the ceremony half way through.
When Loki learns that he has only ever lived with half of a heart, he sets to finish what was begun. But events don't proceed quite as he plans...
