Darcy is kidnapped and brainwashed - saves herself
Hi
So I'm going crazy looking for this fic that I read on a03 in the last months.
ANy help would be a godsend : )
Darcy is kidnapped (probably by Aim but unsure on this detail)
She is held in a decent cell, and while nobody phisically harms her she is tortured in a very specific way in order to break her (and probably use her against the initiative)
She is constantly being shown footage of horrible occurrences in the world - basically implying that humans are shitty to each other and there is little hope to be found amidst pain and suffering.
Same goes with the bookcase full of books on depressing topics.
She is partially starved - being given just enough to get by but keeping her hungry and sleep deprived, woken up by loud noises whenever she tries to rest.
She is in a half-catatonic state and though she is almost completely under the influence of her captors she manages to steal the lanyard/keychain with her tracking gps panic button when the head honcho least expects it from her and hide it in her room where it can broadcast her position to her rescuers.
There was a pairing but I can't remember who it was with - the fic was mainly centered on her resilience.
I don't think the fic was overly long or multichapter, maybe it was part of a collection and that is why I can't seem to find it again.
